If only he had listened to medical advice, he could have taken a few Z-Paks and a family of three would still be alive

Since nobody has said it yet... Benoit didn't do it! He was framed! Because the op brought up an interesting point about Benoit that could be discussed in a civil matter. Apparently that was kiboshed by flippant posting and needless "comedic" commentary. I get it, You don't like the guy, He did a horrible thing, get over it.

A person killing their spouse and children to "take them" with them when they die is not unheard of. If Benoit knew his time was short, then along with his brain dysfunction and the trauma caused by so many of his close friends dying in the years leading up to 2007, that might explain his actions. Throw in the fact that "the last photo of Benoit, either shortly before or very close after the murder/s, took place at his doctor's office", that claim of him continuing due to this main event ECW angle, and apparently IIRC, how the argument with Nancy started over some money issue (and how money issues often play a role when someone kills their entire family)- this seems like it may be getting disturbingly close to the actual timeline around the murders.

But why did they put him in a main event feud then? Did they not know about the enlarged heart? He seemed to be in the same kind of guy Kurt Angle is now. Ignoring medical and mental issues to keep wrestling. While Wellness was in place, I wonder if Benoit was ever checked out. I know WWE saved MVP's life, could they have saved Chris'? or at least his legacy?
IIRC, Benoit was going to be the lynchpin for the ECW re-launch and he was going to win the ECW title at the PPV he missed.....

I really have to wonder how WWE misses these things. First they say that Benoit's brain looked like an 86 year old with Alzheimers, and now they're saying his heart was enlarged. Even in 2006-early 2007, they should've been testing for this stuff. They were, starting after Eddies death. It's how they found MVPs heart condition. This is an old article that's been around for a while. Total BS. And Chris died almost a year after Eddy. They didn't take the testing serious at all until this happened, and the whole thing of finding MVP (and his brother) having that heart condition did not occur until after the Benoit double murder-suicide. Now that said, I do not know if they had the ability at the time (or even now) to diagnose the brain damage like that, most cannot be done until after death though there do seem to be some promising tests in the pipeline. That's always been a theory. It's also been stated that Orton would have won it. Since the week of his death a triple threat match was booked to have Batista drop the title due to injury and Eddie was doing the I'm your friend and you can trust me Batista! stuff in the weeks leading to it. Maybe I'm making this up and I imagined it, but I'm almost certain I remember Stephanie confirming, some time after Eddie's death, that he was indeed slated to win the title. Steph said on one of the memorial shows he would have been champion again and people took it to mean he was getting the title that weekend. Several people have come out and said that wasn't the plan though as Orton was to get the title and for Batista to win the Rumble setting up a match between them at Mania, Steph's statement was just a general "Sometime in the future, we loved him and he'd gotten it again" thing.

I heard Freddie Krueger had a enlarged penis. Your mother confirmed it.

Seems like a lot of reports pop up like this when somebody does something unimaginably horrible. I'm not even saying it's right or wrong, just saying that interests me for some reason.

You know, I gotta be honest with you guys. It's really, really, really difficult to watch a Chris Benoit match these days. Of course that's because I no longer subscribe to the WWE Network for the low, low price of just $9.99.

It's human nature. Something so random and violent NEEDS an explanation, hence how a lot of conspiracy theories start......

Chris Benoit used to do the diving headbutt into his swimming pool. Sometimes he even did it after it had been filled.

I'm going to be honest with you guys. As many years have passed, I don't really think enough have for this thread to really stay up. Outsides of personal tragedies, such as the passing of Deadpool and other members, or for those around who knew him and were attached to him Earthquake, Benoit's murder/suicide was probably the most negative event in this forum's lifespan.
That said, what was once feelings of loss, betrayal, or anger, here has mostly manifested in mockery and passive aggressive jabs at other members. I really would hope we're better than kicking other members when they're done on stuff like this, and while maybe a lot of these threads can have predictable responses, it doesn't mean that some of the posts have been called for, including at least one which had to be deleted.
