So Eric Young shows up at a GFW show... My God does it look pathetic. The vid: Crowd looks like about 50, and only about 20 looks like they're making any noise. (Wouldn't surprise me those marking out are paid plants by GFW.) This makes it bleedingly obvious they pumped in crowd noise for this. And the ring looks like a rental and cheap as hell, no GFW logos anywhere. Everything about it screams "generic". I'll be amazed if either company lasts another year. They're both just vanity projects for Dixie and Jarrett now. ... Hmmm.... "Generic".... New name for GFW: Generic Farce Wrestling. 'Cause that's what it really is. Holy f***!! That was sad, that attendance, or maybe it was an empty arena match? Lol that was embarrassing, it felt like Eric Young doing a run in at backyard federation. Jeff Jarrett looked fat, and he's pushing himself. It was funny to hear Young rejecting a match on GFW because he wanted to get paid because he's a huge tv star, he should be used to work for free. It was hilarious when he stole the belt and later fumbled it, dropping it on the floor, that was a prediction for this storyline. No wonder ROH told them to f*** off after they pitched the invasion. This was beyond LOLTNA bullshit, now they're gonna have Abyss fall into thumbtacks on the next GFW show in front of 10 people.

I have a friend who was at that show. Claims at least 300 people where there and very smarky. Seriously though...high school gyms would have looked more respectable than that. I mean...OMEGA draws like 3000 people... I think OMEGA is proof that the Hardys are draws outside WWE, it just that no one want to watch TNA in order to see them. Even ICP's JCW draws more then TNA.

I think there are those of us who have been at family reunions that drew bigger crowds than that.

Terrible. TNA and GFW should just pack it up. Invasion angles only work when your shows mean something and can draw. How much credit you think one side of the coin in GFW is only drawing a few hundred people. TNA only draws a few hundred on the road. Hell it would matter a little if ONE of them could get a 1,000 fans.
I had some hope for GFW but the moment Jarrett came to TNA and got himself a title. I was done. No matter how bad he thinks he a MEGA star he not and never was. He was Mid title at best.

They're here to win all of the titles so that JJ doesn't have to buy any. Thats probably the only thing that company has thats got any worth to them. I mean Dixie puts buying a new green title high up more than paying her employees you realise they literally painted the old belt's X green, right? It's not a new belt.

I say this with complete honesty: I've been to shows at my hometown armory that had bigger crowds than this

Not sure, but I know one of their shows from last year drew a minimum of 3000 people.

We had bigger crowds than that at school when the tuck shop opened in the morning.

Did Jarrett even ever main event a WWE PPV? For f***s sake, even Maven closed 1. I'll lower the bar: did he ever even main event an episode of RAW? That guy nailed it. He's a glorified Greg Gagne or Erik Watts. If his last name was Johnson, would he have ever made it out of Memphis? So Maven got one more than Razor Ramon as well.

I live in Appleton where the show was last night. I did not go. Why?
I only started finding out bits and pieces on who was going to be there two weeks ago. I heard Matt Cage announce himself on a podcast, then I saw a poster stuck to a service door downtown. In total, I knew of about 7 people that were going to be there: Jarrett, Colt Cabana, Matt Cage, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Thea Trinidad, and Bullet Club. Not worth the $20 low price ticket, and that $40 seat can f*** right off.
I've bitched a little at GFW on Reddit when they've asked for feedback. They did all of dick with this show. Once they finally started fleshing out the roster for the show a bit, I'd missed my window to go and a lot of people were indifferent. GFW claimed Jarrett had been in town doing local radio, but I'd heard nothing. No clue what stations he may have been on. And all their web site showed was a Wisconsin Timber Rattlers logo and a link to buy tickets up until a little more than a week ago.
A hot company can draw on their name alone. GFW is not a hot company and shouldn't expect this.
tl;dr: Shitty promotion and expensive tickets get you these results.

Another thing that killed their ppvs was that they had free title changes continually on impact. Sometimes the week after the ppv. I think this is much more a culprit of TNA's shitty PPV buys. They CONSISTENTLY told us that they didn't matter... they never booked the story to have the big conclusion happen at the show you have to pay for. I present evidence number one of them screwing PPVs up. Bobby Roode deemed not good enough to win at the PPV(brother jack) against Angle so let's put the title on James Storm in order to put it on Roode. What made me mad was turned Roode into this simple everyman in order for the fans to get behind him and yet we got a screwy finish and a stay tuned for Impact.

Nope same week and the match was less than a minute long and two weeks later Bobby Roode turned heel and won the title from Storm.

Also once Roode won the title we got BS finishes EVERY PPV because you know he's a heel and they cheat.

I still say even if they wanted to do the heel Roode thing and the Storm feud, they should've had Roode win it, have him give a title shot to Storm at the next PPV, lose, lose again on a rematch, then turn heel and go on his big unending title reign with Storm out for months before coming back seeking vengeance. Gives it a lot more build and does more to set up both guys as actually deserving the belt instead of Roode getting beaten by the guy Storm then beat in a lucky hit.

So guys from one company are leaving only to invade the same company they left? Is the fact they have a GFW tshirt on suppose to make this feel like a real fed vs fed thing?
