The Toryumon 2000 Project (T2P), one of the Toryumon "classes" of Ultimo Dragon's students, and it was also a promotion done for their first breakthrough in the business and they started using the 6-sided ring in 2001. You guys should check it out if nothing else because of the Italian Connection stable (Milano Collection AT, "brother" YASSINI, YOSSINO, Condotti Shuji, Anthony W. Mori, Pescatori Yago, Venezia and Berlinetta Boxer). And yes, it is a bunch of Japanese wrestlers being Italian somehow. And yes, it's as awesome as it sounds. I forgot about Toryumon using a 6 sided ring also. I need to see if they came up with the idea first or AAA did. Considering Ultimo was a regular in Mexico at the time, it's quite possible Triple A are the originators. Ultimo was mostly CMLL in the beginning of Mexico, he only did AAA in 1996, I am not sure what the rings in AAA looked like in 1992 when they were founded

He was friggin' amazing. I had totally forgotten about him until this thread. I haven't heard about him in years it seems but he was awesome. I hope he's still wrestling.

I kind of remember that now that you mention it. I can't believe he's been retired for 5 years though. I used him a lot in Fire Pro Returns. I think he may have also been in one of the Wrestle Kingdom or All Star Pro Wrestling games. I remember seeing him and his invisible dog entrance in one of those games.

Hey, I'm the weird one for remembering the exact number of sides of the ring in No Holds Barred. It's not a shame to get that one wrong. Can we still mock Cornfed, though? Because I would like to mock Cornfed.

I remember seeing him and his invisible dog entrance in one of those games. Mikeru wasn't invisible, she was just bred to be the most fashion-accessible colour available: clear.

My memory might be wrong, but I seem to remember AAA using the 6 sided ring when I started watching them in 99.

Re the original question, I heard it was the same sick mind that thought up the blue shell in Mario Kart. There are some sick people on this planet. So it was designed so jobbers had a fair shot at winning matches? I don't entirely see how adding more sides to the ring helps, but I'm no expert.

It restricts the greats. VISULALISE MAN
