I was hoping they panned over from Paulie's grave to show the grave of his robot right next to it. I'm hoping the robot is showin in the funeral party somewhere

I love the series and will definitely be seeing this, but why since part 3 have they been obsessed with killing someone off? George R. Martin would think it's too much.

Missed the chance to name the character Austin Creed. Coulda been a new day for the franchise!

Losing Paulie is a huge boost. Yeah in all honesty After Balboa there really isn't much reason to keep the character around. If he was in this film too I'm sure we'll pretty much get almost the same story arc he gets in almost every other Rocky movie. Example: Paulie: Hey Rocko why you wasting your time training this hoodlum? I think that last fight really did rattle your brain.
Rocky: Come on Paulie he's really a good kid deep down inside just like his old man.
*LATER*
Paulie: You know Rocko you really did do a good thing I think your boy might have a shot after all. Hey, can I use my connections to make some money off of this?
Rocky: Sure Paulie. Do what you gotta do.
Arc over.

Arc over. I'm just picturing them getting Creed's son over by having Paulie try his manipulative bullshit on him, and Creed just sends him away on a bus.

This is at 90% on rotten tomatoes with 20 odd reviews. Seems it's good!

As big of a Rocky fan as I am, I don't think I'll watch this. The franchise ended with Rocky Balboa, the most perfect Rocky movie for me.
I have no doubt that it's good, though, as Stallone is a criminally underrated filmmaker.

You should watch it.

Just saw it; very worthy spin-off/addition to the Rocky franchise. Great work by Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone. Good mix of nostalgia and character work, punches and emotion.

I liked it, not half bad. Plays by the book, your usual drama and inspirational stuff while punching some guy. Not to downplay it, I dig it, but I do rank it below Rocky Balboa and some others for example. Definitely recommended though, and I hope they keep the series going.

I said 9 years ago that they could end the series and the story with Rocky Balboa. I'm glad they didn't. I loved this movie from beginning to end. I'll say it again, if they end the series with this movie, I'd be happy with it.

Just saw it. Probably one of the best boxing movies I have ever seen. Stallone really did a fantastic performance in this film. I think Mr. Jordan has a long, great career ahead of him.

I loved it.
Michael B. Jordan was great and Stallone was just as good.
Blew my expectations out of the water.

My new favorite movie of the year (I didn't think that this could be a potential Oscar contender, but somehow the director made it work and it could contend for some awards)

Having not seen it yet, does anyone block a punch in this one? Because holy shit, the boxing in the first ones, they'd all be dead.
