if I'm Vince I'd just tell him to f*** off at this point. guy has to have burned through any good will the company had for him by this point. what the hell is he going to do with the kids in NXT anyway? teach them how to be a bitter has-been?

Sorry, Billy, Jake Roberts should get the job if he is interested. In fact, I think there are plenty of others who can fill the position better than Billy. Does Mick Foley live in Florida? Would Hogan be interested in the job? How about Ric Flair? I know that Ric lives in SC, but I can see him taking over from an old friend of his. I just wanted to mention Arn Anderson, because his promo work is quite possibly the most underrated in wrestling history.

Who rates Arn poorly for his promos? I've only ever heard praise.

It's very telling that Arn Anderson rarely had to raise his voice during promos. He was that compelling as a speaker. He would just straight up tell you what he was gonna put you through, and dare you to stop him.

Hell, if anything I think he's over qualified for the position-not saying he's better than Dusty, but wrestling seems more like an assembly line now. Why teach the art of a promo to a bunch of men and women following a cue card to the letter?
Although the ones that REALLY succeed are the ones with the grapefruits to break out of that mold.

I don't know if i'm more disgusted by the fact that he has the audacity to beg for a job working for a man and company he has publicly crapped on since the dawn of time, or the fact that he is shamelessly using Dusty Rhodes' death as a catalyst for it.
The actions of a classless individual.
