The Algorithm, French electronica/djent Remi Gallego (with former Monuments drummer Mike Malyan).
Interesting music... but Remi just looks like an angry guy playing a video game...

Man, next year may be an expensive year. I'm bound and determined to see David Gilmour, as it will be my last chance to ever see him. And seeing Maiden again would be awesome. Dare I do both???

Now listening to some Saint Vitus from 1988. For being one of the first American heavy metal bands, they are pretty under appreciated.

Now playing: Pandemia.
Pandemia are a modern death metal band out of the Czech Republic who have been around since the late 90s. This one is from their 2015 release put out back in February.

Now playing: Weapon
There are a few bands that go by the name Weapon. This is the band Weapon out of Canada, who do a blackened death metal style. Actually, to be more precise, Weapon was started by a guy named Vetis Monarch who is from Bangladesh, who began the band there and then relocated in the early 2000s to Canada. As good as their music is, Monarch was kind of an asshole, when in 2012, he filed a bunch of lawsuits which forced other bands named Weapon to change their name. (For example, the British band Weapon, became Weapon UK). Then, after all that drama, in 2013, the band splits up.
Fortunately they made pretty good music. This one is from their last album which they released in 2012.

Hearing this song live was one of many highlights of last night's Annihilator concert.

Another tragedy in metal today, as Jim Konya (aka Jim Sadist), longtime drummer from the band Nunslaughter, has passed away. I know that Nunslaughter is not exactly a household name as far as music goes, but Nunslaughter have been around the underground death metal circles for a long time, and Jim had been with them for close to 20 years. It sounds like the guy suffered a couple of strokes back in September and was taken off of life support today. He was just 44.

What is up with these good drummers dying all of a sudden? By the way, in somewhat lighter news, I recently discovered the band Diocletian. Of course, as is my luck, as soon as I get into them I discover that they just recently split. Anyways, here's once of their songs:
