Now listening to: Saint Vitus
Some Vitus from 1992. Always a good decision.

Now listening to: Falkenbach
If you haven't heard the epic Viking/Folk metal of Falkenbach, now is your chance to remedy that malaise right now!

Now listening to: Revulsed
A new band out of Australia, that features the ex-vocalist of Defeated Sanity. This is really fun brutal tech-death.

Up to and including As the Flower Withers, My Dying Bride put out some of the best death metal of the early 90s IMO.

how am I only just hearing about these guys now? awesome stuff, nice combo of black metal and post-rock that doesn't just sound like an Agalloch knock-off.

Now listening to: Gorod
The NEW Gorod album to be precise. Very good tech death out of France, whom I think fly under a lot of radars.

I don't know if this band has been mentioned at all in this thread, but I'd like to post two of my favorites by Uncle Acid & the deadbeats. I don't think they've been around for more than 5 - 8 years. Just discovered them in the Summer. They have a psychedelic/doom style to the music, reminiscent of early Black Sabbath. They actually opened for Sabbath during one of the recent European tours.

We lost another one today, as Philthy Phil Animal passed away today. If you don't know Philthy Phil, he was the drummer for Motorhead during their early years and early albums including Motorhead's most famous album, and song, Ace of Spades. He had been battling illness for awhile; he was 61.
So, tonight will be a night for Motorhead jams.

YOUR INPUT REQUESTED, METAL BRETHEREN!
are these the most horrifying vocals you've ever heard or the most hilarious? I can't decide if it's one or the other or both. you tell me.
music's pretty great regardless, though.
