Big metal fan, not really listened to BTBAM before, but damn is this isn't awesome I love Between The Buried And Me. I saw them at a very small venue here in WV around 10 years ago. My first impression was that they were good but I honestly didn't pay that much attention to them for some reason. After actually taking time to listen to them however, they're one of my favorite bands now.

Actually glad I stumbled on this thread. We've got both Iron Maiden and Megadeth coming out with new albums this year, and Iced Earth with a new one in early 2016.
Anyone here Blaze Bayley fans? What the hell happened to him? He lost his wife, shaved his head, and just kind of got weird. Just bouncing from random project to random project.

Another recommendation:
Tengger Cavalry.
A Chinese Folky Melodic Death Metal band inspired by Mongolian history and culture.

Actually glad I stumbled on this thread. We've got both Iron Maiden and Megadeth coming out with new albums this year, and Iced Earth with a new one in early 2016. I expect the new Iron Maiden album to be at least solid, especially with Bruce recently beating cancer. However, it's put up or shut up time for ol' Dave Mustaine. Thirteen and Super Collider were back to back duds, then he parts ways with Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover. Mustaine needs a homerun, or it's over. And Iced Earth has been hit and miss since Jon Schaffer left in 2011. Oh and that new Slayer album is going to be a 20 dollar coaster. Upcoming albums I am looking out for: Late July: Gamma Ray, Powerwolf, Jackdevil, Grave, Atheist, Graveyard, Xandria August: Fear Factory, Black Fast, Skeletal Remains, Krisiun, Cianide, Battlecross, Ghost, Rotting Christ, Wolfheart, The Sword, Ahab, Motorhead, Hate Eternal, plus others

But I've noticed that I enjoy Megadeth's less thrash albums (Youthanasia, The System Has Failed, etc). For instance Endgame was a bit too much for me. Now Iced Earth, I've been largely disappointed with their last two albums. I think because they've set such a high bar for themselves in terms of songwriting, that when they go back to a more basic style it looks lacking. Also, Geoff Tate's band announced a new album due out in September. Me personally, I've lost a lot of interest in Queensryche after the Dedicated to Chaos / subsequent breakup mess. I think for me, their last album will be American Soldier, which is a great way to go out.

always thought these guys were criminally underrated. they're like At the Gates and Dismember's ugly mutated offspring.

I have one of Centinex's albums but I can't remember which. It's pretty decent.

Live footage of my first time seeing Exodus live (and unfortunately the last time I saw them with Dukes) at Bloodstock 2013 (language warning).

And Iced Earth has been hit and miss since Jon Schaffer left in 2011. Uh, I think you mean Matt Barlow, not Jon Schaffer, as Jon basically is Iced Earth. Stu is fine, but there's something missing.
