Lords Of Black....their singer will be fronting Rainbow this summer. Amazing vocalist....looks like he'll do the Dio songs justice.

Went to Rock N Derby in Schaghticoke, NY this past weekend. Had a great time. While not necessarily "metal" bands, Halestorm and Shinedown crushed it live. I wasn't necessarily a fan of Halestorm but I am now. Anthrax killed. Those guys have so much fun when they play, and its obvious. I watched a bit of Megadeth, and they weren't too impressive, though after what happened with Nick Menza they deserve a pass. Ghost was fun, and Sevendust killed it as always. I really need to see Anthrax and Sevendust outside of a festival setting.
But the band I was impressed with most, going in with zero knowledge about them, is Parkway Drive. They put out so much energy and absolutely owned the crowd. And they sound great. They have a new fan in me.

Okay Metalheads,
Here's a question I am sure that's been asked. If you're stranded on a desert island and you could only have five metal albums. Which albums would they be? This was a tough one for me.
1. Kamelot- Epica 2. Queensryche- Operation: Mindcrime 3. Carcass- Heartwork 4. Cradle of Filth- Cruelty and The Beast 5. King Diamond- Them

Leviathan was on that list of bands that I always thought "I should like these guys but it's not doing anything for me". then I heard this tune.
