I actually don't know how to feel about things like this. On the one hand, I like the adding of new content very much. On the other hand, I don't know with my OCD whether I should rewatch the episodes I already watched last year during my going through all WCCW content last year. Silly, I Know but still... My OCD is having fits in the episode numbers are all over the map. And two on the same day? I'll just watch and pray it makes sense eventually.

It's the dates that are an issue. Some of the airdates are wrong, though it is mostly the episodes that were added in 2014-15 that are wrong, and the 1982-84 shows added in this recent batch mostly have the correct airdates. The two 1983 shows with the same airdate (Nov. 12) are listed correctly as far as I know as I think they just doubled up that week and didn't air a show on Nov. 19. The 1985-87 episodes have the taping dates listed instead of the airdates. If you want the correct airdates, start from episode 12 (which WWE corrects lists as airing on Mar. 13, 1982), then add seven days to that to get the next episode's date. Skip one week after Dec. 18, 1982 (episode 52) and go straight to Jan. 1, 1983 as there was no episode aired on Dec. 25, 1982 (the Christmas Star Wars card took place that night, with matches from it airing on Jan. 1 and Jan. 8).

THANK you! Trying to construct a viewing guide for wrestling by air date and WCCW and Mid South were giving me fits. No problem. Just remember to skip Dec. 25, 1982 and that episodes 53 and 54 should be the first two shows of 1983, not the last two of 1982 as WWE has them listed. The Mid-South episodes have mostly accurate airdates but here are corrections for the ones that do not: December 26, 1981 (listed by WWE as Dec. 25) January 2, 1982 (listed by WWE as Dec. 30, 1981) March 31, 1984 (listed by WWE as Mar. 30) February 2, 1985 (listed by WWE as Feb. 1) March 23, 1985 (listed by WWE as Mar. 22) March 8, 1986 (listed by WWE as Mar. 3) Power Pro July 26, 1986 (listed by WWE as Jul. 21; WWE wrongly calls the show Mid-South Power Pro when the company was now the UWF by this point)

Some more episodes from 82-85 were added ... back to the salt mines then. Could we ever see WCCW #1?

The 2/4/84 episode actually has Prince "Dirty Mind" intact. Just an instrumental version but still. Also surprised WCCW used that song, you think it would be more appropriate for the AWA.

On the subject of that episode, it's actually the 2/11 show. The real 2/4 show, episode 110, isn't on the Network right now. It's particularly strange because they had to add an announcement of David Von Erich's death at the end, and with the wrong date, it makes it look like they announced his death before it happened (he died on 2/10).

They need to get the rights to the 88-89 episodes. I'm sure the Savoldi family (current rights holders) will be willing to negotiate, and then we get the early years of Austin, Foley, and Taker (as well as the beginning of USWA, and the WWE DOES own the rights to USWA Texas at least).

Someone said on twitter that Mercer said that Tommy Rich was suppose to show up in 82. Wonder how he would have fit in

WWE does own the 1988-89 World Class footage. All the Dallas footage from after the Von Erichs sold to Jerry Jarrett in 1988 is together (Jarrett-era World Class, USWA Texas, and Global), and WWE bought it around 2011. Foley's 2013 DVD has clips of 1989 World Class and a full match against Brickhouse Brown from April 1989 as a bonus feature. I'm not sure if WWE has "Championship Sports" (the secondary show that aired on one TV station in Texas until 1990) or the ESPN shows. They've only used footage from the syndication programs.

So they had Babydoll as a amazon woman, talk about a clusterf***. Lady Maxine would have better for that role.

Maxine was still training during the entire Andrea angle. She wouldn't debut for the WWF - her first exposure outside of spot shows Moolah got her on locally while training - until 1985, months after Baby Doll had already left World Class. 3. Maxine had a great look but was a horrible, horrible worker.

Either WWE or WCCW mislabeled episodes 33 (Aug. 7, 1982) and 34 (Aug. 14, 1982). They should be swapped as the show labeled 33 has Ric Flair and Bill Mercer saying that an Aug. 15 show at Reunion Arena is happening "tomorrow night."

And we have more to play with with 1985 and 1986 getting filled out. Did WCCW move off of Saturdays in 1986 or is this a mislabel?

You can use Saturday or Sunday for the entire run (Dec. 1981 - Aug. 1989) because either one could be correct since it was a syndicated show. Most of 1985 has the correct airdates listed, including the first show of the year (ep. 158), so just go from there and keep adding 7 days. 1986 is really messed up, though. Ep. 210 should be the first episode of the year (Jan. 4 or 5), but it is listed as Jan. 28 for some reason. The shows from August 1986 to April 1987 that are up are listed by taping date.

To say nothing of having ep. 211 listed in 1985. Only thing I can think of is it was taped as part of a Christmas show and WWE messed up with the listings. Doesn't bode well for when Superstars and Challenge are eventually listed, does it? As always, thanks for the guidelines. WCCW is a great asset for wrestling, but such a pain to get linear.
