As some leagues have already started that means it's time for a new thread. As I say in every football thread, please keep it friendly in here. A little bit of light-hearted piss-taking is fine, as some people call it, "banter" (I hate that f***ing word) but don't go too far. Most of the people who participate in these thread know how far is too far and these threads are normally kept respectful, let's keep it that way. There is a Fantasy League setup if you want to join in. Head over to Fantasy Premier League to register and join the Private League there using the code 906911-277512. (Thanks to futureraven for setting it up). So get started with your predictions for the season!

For some reason I think that Man U is going to take the Premier League this season. I hope not as I'm a Chelsea man, but that's what my gut tells me.........could be indigestion though.

Chelsea or City will win it. Arsenal and Man Utd in 3rd and 4th.
Liverpool and Spurs fighting for 5/6
Bournemouth, Norwich and Leicester are going down.
Villa, Sunderland, Newcastle and Watford will be very vulnerable too.
The rest will be safe in mid table.

Ok, everyone forgot Saints again Auto European qualification is the level we want this year, I believe.

Ok, everyone forgot Saints again Auto European qualification is the level we want this year, I believe. Europa League will drag you down the table. Everton were a better team than you and they could only finish 11th last season due to it. That's why I put you 12th.

Chelsea to win it again, but facing a much sterner challenge from Arsenal and United. I can see City falling behind them this season.
Norwich, Leicester and Watford to go down, but West Ham fans must be feeling terrified at the moment too!
Middlesbrough will run away with the Championship with Wolves joining them to promotion. Derby will win the playoffs.

Hoping for a better season from Everton. No European football should produce better results in the League. Maybe they could make a run in the FA Cup as well.

1. Chelsea 2. Manchester United 3. Arsenal 4. Manchester City 5. Tottenham Hotspur 6. Liverpool 7. Southampton 8. Everton 9. Newcastle United 10. Stoke City 11. Crystal Palace 12. Swansea City 13. West Bromwich Albion 14. West Ham United 15. Leicester City 16. Aston Villa 17. Sunderland 18. Watford 19. Bournemouth 20. Norwich City
EDIT: Some other random (and probably terrible) predictions:
- Slaven Bilic is the first manager sacked
- Wayne Rooney scores 20+ goals this season
- Raheem Sterling will be a bust at City
- Steve McClaren will be Manager of the Year
- Harry Kane regresses, but will maintain enough of a form to grab the #9 over Daniel Sturridge for Euro 2016
- Alexis Sanchez is Player of the Year

My picks at the top are Chelsea for the title, Manchester United for (distant) runners up, Arsenal third, City fourth, and Tottenham fifth.
I can't see Norwich or Bournemouth having the necessary quality to stay up, and haven't made any signings that look like taking them to the next level. As I said in the previous thread, if Watford's signings gel quickly I can see them being this season's surprise team. Sunderland are almost unchanged from last season's campaign, so I'm backing them to be the third team to drop.

Bias aside (I work in Bournemouth) I genuinely think they've invested wisely in bringing in a mix of players with premier league experience and players who excelled in the championship. Bold prediction, I think they'll finish top 10.

Predictions.
-Crystal Palace continue to rise in the table, finishing above both Liverpool teams and winning the FA Cup.
-Liverpool have a lot of trouble up front, and in panic of what to do they fire Brendan Rodgers.
-Chelsea to win, ManU to continue throwing huge amounts of cash without getting much out of it.
-Norwich, Watford and Leicester get relegated.
Top four is Chelsea, ManC, Arsenal, ManU in that order. Southampton, Tottenham and Swansea fight for top six while Crystal Palace stays at a comfortable distance away from them.

18. Watford 19. Bournemouth 20. Norwich City I'm always a bit surprised when someone predicts the three newly promoted teams to go down. It's only happened once in 23 years, might as well not even bother predicting it.

Sunderland are almost unchanged from last season's campaign, so I'm backing them to be the third team to drop. Giving that one our new players was giving our keeper the wanker sign behind his back in a pre-season friendly, I'm a bit worried it could be a while before we gel... (Watford) Anyway, Chelsea to win the league again. City are treading water until they can get Pep and United still have a massive problem in defense, even with the arrival of Darmain and Schneirderlin. I'm also not convinced the signing of Schweinsteiger is going to make a massive difference and Rooney leading the line without any real alternatives has questions. If anyones going to challenge Chelsea though, it'll be Arsenal. They've had a year to really gel, fixed one of their biggest problems with Cech and have looked scary good in pre-season. So, if I were a betting man... 1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Man Utd 4. Man City And Norwich, Sunderland and I could see Villa's luck finally running out.

With Pearson gone I don't really care if Leicester go down or not. I think 2 of the 3 promoted teams will drop, Howe has a knack of making things work for Bournemoth so they might survive, but his time as our manager also showed how he is definitely limited, so that luck could run out. Watford may be overhauling their team too much, Norwich I don't know if they have the personnel. Not sure who'll join them of Sunderland, Villa and Leicester.
Can't see Burnley bouncing back, we've lost 3 key players and not strengthened. One of them hasn't even been replaced at all, and we still have a glaring weakness in the centre of midfield. Might make the playoffs but we're not going back up. Think Boro will coast it, Derby 2nd (them taking Shackell is a big boost to them and blow to Burnley) and probably Wolves or QPR in the playoffs.
Chelsea are winning the title again, no doubt. Would like Arsenal but it ain't happening.
