Well I would say all those so bad they're good films such as The Room and Troll 2 because personally I've found that after watching more than a few times whatever novelty that they had wares off and those films just become terrible films. The Room really only works as a crowd participation event, where the attraction is the social dynamic rather than the movie itself.

The Hangover is another one. Saw the first one, didn't enjoy it, couldn't fathom how all the people I knew and online were screaming holy praise for it, never bothered with the 2 sequels. This times a thousand. I don't know if I just went into it with too high of expectations because of all the praise it was getting, but I barely chuckled throughout the whole thing. And the Asian dude annoyed the holy hell out of me.

The Interview. I will admit that it got good when they actually got to NK, but that first half of the film,,ugghh.

Honestly, I don't even like the idea of calling movies or anything else "overhyped". It feels like people who use that term are trying to shame other people for enjoying something that happens to be popular.
I don't think calling Frozen overhyped is ok, because going on the words of not just critics but ordinary people, it obviously registers with a lot of people for understandable reasons. It is/was everywhere to an annoying degree (especially if you're not a Disney person), but I'm pretty much with Doug Walker, it wouldn't have impacted the zeitgeist so hard if it was as mediocre as people claim.
Or even with crap like the Bayformers, I don't understand their appeal but I don't like calling those movies overhyped either. They're just not what I want out of a robot smash story.

They're trying too hard to be funny, that its just not.

See I'm the other way around. I feel Begins is the forgotten film of the trilogy, which is a shame as I feel it's the best of the three. I can watch Begins over and over, but I feel that the Dark Knight is massively overrated and TDKR is kind of filler to round everything out. I feel the same about TDKR it feels like Nolan would have done something different with it if Ledger hadn't passed on

In response to this thread:
Guardians of the Galaxy: I could watch countless times, love that movie. I will say its the best Marvel film. Man of Steel: Awful movie, I still don't understand why some people like it. Will never watch again. Batman Begins: One of the dullest movies I've ever seen. Not even my boy Liam Neeson could save it. Dark Knight Rises: Would probably get a rewatch from the hilarity of Bane's stupid voice, but that's about it. Gravity: Didn't like it at all. Dull. Avatar: Was OK, but wouldn't want to watch it again. Team America: Very dated, funny when I was 13, was horrible to watch at 19, got no interest now I'm 23. 2005 King Kong: I don't think I have enough time left to rewatch it. Not bad, but good God its long. Lego Movie: Would gladly watch again. Jurassic World: Already have rewatched it. Probably my favourite of the Jurassic franchise. Age of Ultron: Was better on the second watch. Not as good as the first Avengers, but enjoyable enough. Would watch again. Zoolander: Meh, wouldn't watch again. Frozen: My girlfriend's beat it into the ground for me. The Room: Miserable to watch on your own, amazing with friends and some booze or weed. Hangover: Id actually like to watch it again, I enjoyed the first one. Interview: Good film, but probably wouldn't rewatch. Titanic: Watching once was one time too many.

I don't know if I would count The Interview as overhyped. It was featured in a news story, then "banned", shown in a limited release theater wise, and then released online; first for pay then on Netflix. If it wasn't for the news story then it would have just faded away.

The English Patient. Enjoyed it when I first saw it then saw the episode of Seinfeld with Elaine ripping it to shreds and can't watch it in the same way again.

I feel the same about TDKR it feels like Nolan would have done something different with it if Ledger hadn't passed on That's actually true. David Goyer confirmed that he and the Nolan brothers' original story plan for Batman 3 was going to have Joker awaiting trial for his crimes in The Dark Knight, while Batman has to reluctantly go to him in Arkham for insight on a new threat, ala Silence of the Lambs. Could have been a damn good movie.

Michael Bay's body of work Unless you REALLY like sunsets (Seriously, Bay has been doing that for his whole career, just check out his video for the Winger song "Cant Get Enuff", and thats from when he was just starting out).

I'm in the minority, but all movies have no replay value. Most of my enjoyment from movies comes from the fact that I go on a ride with the story and the characters, once you know how everything unfolds and have seen the performances from the actors, there's no more surprise or excitement to be had.
