I don't think I'm fighting back against any technology. I'm all for new and inventive ways in which we can live our lives and enjoy our interests.
Personally I'm not a big e-reader fan though. I just don't feel comfortable reading long form texts in that format.
As for DLC, I'm okay with it when it adds to the existing games. But we've seen far too many examples of things being left out for games in order to cater for the dreaded "pre-order exclusive," which IMO is a bigger crime than anything else that has been listed here.

Yeah, streaming is nice, but not the death of phyiscal media like some proclaim it to be, when I still have stretches of a week or more when my internet connection is being rubbish and intermittent. That's the only thing stopping streaming. Bandwidth caps are a b****. Who cares how fast your connection is when you're limited to a measly 2 GB per month?

Those evil-natured robots. They're programmed to destroy us.
I've got to be strong to fight them, so I'm taking lots of vitamins.

With facebook, I like it because it's people I know/used to be friends with. Maybe it's because I live half-way across the world from them all but I quite like seeing their posts/photos and seeing what my friends and family have been doing whereas twitter it's just comments from random people. I guess it's all in how you use it. I only follow people I'm interested in hearing from. Plus twitter does photos and vids as well. They're basically the same thing really, but the way people use FB I find more annoying. To each their own. I have 37 Facebook friends and only one (my wife) lives in the same town as I. I do use it to keep in touch with folks I otherwise wouldn't and I'd much rather post a photo once than print it out and send it to 20 people. I created the account way back when to monitor what pictures of the then-baby my mother was sharing.

Kindles/e-readers for me too.
A couple of years ago me and my girlfriend went to Spain, and I take a few books with me to read by the pool or whatever. She put our pictures on Facebook when we came home, one where I'm reading some Hunter S Thompson.
One of her relatives commented on said photo, of me lying on the beach reading Generation of Swine, saying I need an e-reader for that. It would make no difference seeing as either way I would still be lying on the beach reading, but hey, turning the page every so often is so annoying right?

The big thing with E-readers is that you can carry around massive tomes without carrying around massive tomes

I don't fight technology at all, but I'm not rich enough to be an early adopter.

DLC. Don't want it, don't need it, and it should already be on there instead of forcing you to pay extra for it. Same with multiplayer, Unity was ruined cause half the missions and stuff you could only do as part of a club I think by the time I was done with WWE 2k12 or so? First time Warrior was in the game, it cost me over $100. First, the game is like 75, then the season pass is like 20, then Warrior and ABA Taker were like 3 each...

The big thing with E-readers is that you can carry around massive tomes without carrying around massive tomes If I bring a book to the beach or to work, I never have to worry about someone stealing it. Even in the off chance that someone wanted to steal my book, the cost of losing it would be so low that it would hardly matter. If I had an e-reader that was stolen, the hardware alone would be an expensive loss, nevermind the cost of all the books I bought. Plus, let's not forget Amazon's Orwellian recall of Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four for supposed copyright infringement.

Mine is cellphones with physical keyboards.
I have enough trouble with the virtual one on a Kindle, imagine the autocorrect epics you'd get from me using a phone keyboard

Streaming music services like Spotify. I will go to YouTube to browse for things but when it comes time to commit to an album I put money down. Streaming services to me set a bad precedent for people to start believing music is valueless and that we're entitled to all of it at little to no cost. Isn't FM radio kinda similar though? Just without the personalization and add a few annoying DJ's
