Those 3 straight 5-11 seasons for the Cowboys wasn't good.
Another one was the 2011 season for Texas A&M. Their D couldn't hold a lead for nothing

I know I'm probably spoiled, but after their shock win in 2006 the Cards were in a bad funk for a couple of years.
And as great as that 2004 team was, the ending was so painful. I still can't watch footage from either that WS or 2013, they legit upset me.

Every Oilers season since 05-06 pick one. Actually honestly I can pick two. 06-07 was probably the worst, Kevin Lowe dismantles a Stanley Cup contender of a roster in one off season, Pronger (well his wife) demands to be traded, and Ryan Smyth the biggest heart and soul player of the Oilers gets traded over a 100K difference on Mark Messier jersey raising ceremony. The oilers would lose 18 out of the last 20 games since that trade and miss the playoffs which would be the start of the current 9 season playoff drought.
My second choice between the Dallas Eakins years the darkest pair of years in Oilers history has to the 2014-2015 season. The Oilers once again would have the worst start in franchise history, regress even further, and would of actually had the worst NHL Season Record in 25 if Eakins never was fired during the off season. Before the Oilers would win the McDavid sweepstakes, morale was all time low with MacTavishes horrible press conference and the crushing realization the team would never improve as long MacTavish/Lowe remain in charge. McDavid actually saved the Oilers franchise even before being drafted due to The McDavid Effect in which it forced Katz to fire his old buddies running the show and high profile GM's/Coaches/Players who would never consider Edmonton before started signing with Edmonton just because of McDavid.

The Razorbacks, the year post Petrino, primarily because it was such a fall from the heights of going to the BCS Sugar Bowl (which they shoulda won; every opportunity) to plunging to the basement. It includes the worst loss I've ever seen them endure when they dropped a 21 point lead and lost to ULM; damn FCS team. The only loss that could come close would be a loss to the Citadel decades back. ULM is worse though, cuz the Hogs were top ten at that point.
From there it was just a freefall that blew up the team.
They're finally, hopefully working their way back up. But shit it was a tough coupla years.

Cleveland. Browns.
Take your pick. 2006 and 2012 are up there. Really most years, besides last year, 2009, and 2007.

2004 Hawthorn Hawks.. After the two previous seasons of just missing out playing in the finals. It looked like Hawks were gonna have a good year. The coach Peter Schwab said in press conference at the start of the season that team could even win the premiership. The Hawks won only 4 matches for the year.. Finished second last (on equal points with the last placed team, higher on points difference). The coach was sacked mid season.
But beginning of the rise. At the end of the year the Hawks hired a relative unknown as head coach. A man named Alistair Clarkson.. Who in the decade that he has been in charge turned the Hawks into one of the most successful professional sports teams in the World.

The 2004 (?) Packers who just stunk after a decade of playoff glories. Then Reggie White died at the end of the season and the Lambeau crowd chanted "Reggie!" at the defense while they tried to stop the BROWNS from making a game winner drive... and it didn't work...
I remember SS Chris Akins jumping over the pile OFF SIDES to give the Browns an easy first down.
Ugh, a few years ago where everybody got hurt for 2 or 3 straight seasons was frustrating as well, although one of those years ended with a Super Bowl win thanks to a ridiculous WR core

2009 Sioux Falls Storm.
The team started out 6-1, looking to head to the playoffs again. After the first seven games, the IFL levied a punishment of the Storm forfeiting their first 5 wins of the season due to the team not carrying correct workman's comp insurance. The Storm ended up 6-8 that season, and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2002. This still remains controversial, as there were rumors of other teams, including the team who won the division that year the Omaha Beef, not having correct insurance coverage as well. But many feel that this was singling out the Storm. After that season, there were rumors that the Storm may fold, before the team was bought by the current owner.
Thankfully it didn't happen, but there looked to be a time when one of the winningest programs in Indoor/Arena Football may have ceased to be.

Atlanta Braves: 2008. A pick by many experts to go to the World Series finished 72-90. With John Smoltz out most of the season and Tim Hudson for part of it, the Braves were regularly throwing pitchers the likes of Jo-Jo Reyes out there to get hammered. At least my American League team made its unlikely turnaround that season. Speaking of which...
Tampa Bay Rays: Anything from the Devil Rays years (1998-2007). 2007 was pretty bad because that was the year they were supposed to climb out of last place for good, and they once again finished with MLB's worst record. It didn't help that the Orioles, who were projected to finish behind the Devil Rays, went 15-3 against them, thanks in part to Aubrey Huff hitting seven of his 15 home runs against his former team. That season was the complete opposite of the next year, which was nearly perfect.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Pick any of 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2014. (I was not yet born in 1976.) The 2014 Bucs practically invented ways to lose football games. They also took one of the most lopsided beatings I've ever seen in the NFL -- a 56-14 loss on national TV, in which they were trailing 56-0 in the third quarter. But my pick still goes to 2011. After a 4-2 start, the Bucs finished the season with 10 consecutive losses. During that streak, they were outscored by 189 points. It got to a point where I would take naps on Sunday afternoons, look up and see the Bucs down by about 30 before halftime, and go back to sleep. And even before that losing streak began, they were destroyed 48-3 by the 49ers. From what I could stand to watch, that was the most uninspired team I've ever seen at that level. I would have gotten rid of everyone I could have and started over after that embarrassment.

The mid-late 90s and ESPECIALLY the mid 00s were rough for the LA Kings. The worst was 06-07 when we were the worst team in the league(record wise) and the Anaheim Ducks won the Stanley Cup. I almost quit being a fan of the Kings and the NHL that season. Luckily, things have been pretty, pretty, ppppreeeeettttyyyyy...pretty good since 2010.

2007 Mets.
Last year I had season tickets. The last game of the season where will officially missed the playoffs entirely, you could feel the entire stadium just deflate.

I always thought of Ray Handley as the worst coach the NY Giants had, but even he didn't manage a season as bad as Jim Fassel who 'led' the team to a 4-12 record in 2003.

When Saints got relegated to the Championship, nearly went under, got relegated again and had to rebuild from scratch.
