It's great to see Aiden English and Simon Gotch finally get the titles. They're over with a gimmick which really has no business getting over! They make it work though and it's not even an ironic smarky way and they've shown they can make it work both face and heel.
And now Blue Pants! Is she signed now or do you think this was a one off? She really fit with the Vaudevillains in my opinion. The daft but loveable music, a bit of silliness with class spliced in. I'm hoping it's a long term alliance!

See, the Vaudevillians are a fun gimmick that only lasts as long as the intro, when the bell rings, they don't do a lot to incorporate it into their act. That actually works to their benefit, because it'd be way too tempting to have them do prat falls and just overuse the comedic "But we're vaudeville" thing. This works to their benefit as they don't have to stick to the constraints of their gimmick, are allowed to be creative with their offense and can still be taken seriously as a real threat. It's perfect booking for them. And Blue Pants... honestly, I think it was just fanservice. I kinda think Lita was hinting at what was the original idea of having her in the Vaudevillians corner, but due to the crowd chanting for Blue Pants, they decided to go with the fanservice of having her do it and it absolutely worked... I don't think Lita would've gotten near the reaction Bluepants did.

I can't be the only one who sees the irony of a team called the Vaudevillains being faces.

So who is Blue Pants? Haven't gotten into NXT other than Takeover yet.

I can't be the only one who sees the irony of a team called the Vaude villains being faces. I always saw it how like Regal called himself a villain even when he was a face, which brings it's own great continuity on NXT. Even when Gotch and English were heel Regal liked them. Plus they can hardly change their name because they turned face, it's just a play on them being Vaudevillian characters, it's the perfect name for them.

Loved their win. They've probably been the most consistent of the NXT Teams and will be great paired with the rest of them.
As for Blue Pants, I wasn't sold on them together tonight but it is only the first time together and they could always find a way to make it work.

So who is Blue Pants? Haven't gotten into NXT other than Takeover yet. She was a nameless jobber who lives in the Orlando area that was brought in to do a few squash matches at first (IIRC) ... then one night she's matched with Carmella and Enzo and Cass are doing their pre-match bit and Cass doesn't have a name to work with so he calls her "Blue Pants" (which is what she was wearing) and hums the "Price is Right" theme and the Full Sail audience embraced it and started chanting "Let's Go Blue Pants" or something and it organically grew from that. It was a nice touch having her as the "third (Vaude)villain" reveal, I thought.

I imagine she has to have been signed now, given that she was on Takeover and has merch.

I don't see why they wouldn't signed Blue Pants. She's over with the NXT crowd, she's inserted into storylines, she works well with the talent, she knows her character, it works. She can fulfill whatever role Bayley was in during her first few years once Bayley leaves.

Why go through the trouble of coming up with some licensing deal instead of just giving her a straight up contract. Sometimes this company does things that's just, why?

Probably because she makes more on the indies and working at Universal than NXT would pay. Just a guess though.

Got a free month of the network and watched them wrestle for the first time. At first I kept thinking, "how are they the good guys?" Ones got a silly mustache and silly ring gear and the whole old school gimmick just sreams heel to me but as it went on I really wanted them to win and was stoked when they did. Have to admit though I thought Blue Pants offense looked weak. That slap and takedown just looked off but who cares it was a fun, enjoyable match.

Should have been Enzo and Cass's spot. But I still enjoyed it. And Blue Pants.

Blue Pants loomed half the weight she was at her last Full Sail visit though. No one think that?

Blue Pants is one of the most bizarre, yet greatest stories of NXT in the last year or so. This woman, who hasn't even got a full-time contract, has gotten SO DAMN OVER, originally just because of her ring attire but also because of some kind of infectious charisma, where she's just into it for all it's worth.
It also speaks highly of Enzo and Big Cass, because it was their riffing on her look that led to all this. They've made Leva Bates's career here, basically.

There was a guy on Twitter who appeared out of nowhere begging me to link him to her great matches because I had the audacity to tweet "YAY BLUE PANTS!" or something along those lines.
I looked at his timeline and he's basically just searched tweets containing Blue Pants and tried trolling EVERYONE who enjoyed it for daring to do so because she's not Bryan Danielson in the ring. Obviously this means no one is allowed to enjoy anything about her if she can't get a Meltzer 5*. Looking at his timeline he was doing his 2 straight hours AFTER the show. I'm guessing he doesn't have a girlfriend, or friends.

The only thing I'd have done differently, is have her really cosplay at being the 3rd Vaudevillain, she's good at it, and it was awesome seeing her randomly doing the Charleston, but she needed more than just their shirt on.
