I never thought I would see a video of him walking again after seeing him get hurt the way he did. That was incredible to see. I am glad that he's made that much progress from an injury that would have left a lot of people in a wheelchair for the rest of their lives. I hope one day he can walk without the aid of a cane.

It's times like this that made me wish I understood Japanese fluently, so I could know what was said in the interview. This does my heart so much good, not just being a huge Hayabusa fan, but a human in general.

That's great to see. There's obviously a long way to go, but seeing him be able to stand up on his own and walk up steps, which I imagine are harder than just walking, makes me think he'll continue to make progress.

Amazing stuff. Plus, the site of so many puro legends choking back tears lets you know how much this means to everybody. Hope there's more progress to be had.

With so many wrestler deaths and the Hogan crap lately, seeing something like this is nice for a change. Nick Gage coming out of the joint completely clean and 50 LBS leaner is another plus!

People online say he is looking into a comeback and there is a video of him walking on YouTube from last year.
What is the deal?

People online say he is looking into a comeback and there is a video of him walking on YouTube from last year. What is the deal? He's said "never say never", basically, but....come on. At this point, it's highly unlikely. He can't even walk unassisted without a cane at this point.

People online say he is looking into a comeback and there is a video of him walking on YouTube from last year. What is the deal? The last video of him walking was with assistance from several wrestlers, TAKA being one if I remember correctly. This is him walking on his own. He's steadily making progress and it's incredible to see.

Never followed his career but well aware of the name. Never knew he was paralyzed. After seeing the match it happened, it's an absolute miracle he's still alive.

I've never seen a Hayabusa match before and even I was moved by all the people openly shedding tears.

I've been waiting for this for a very long time. After seeing him walking assisted by others last year, I knew it was a matter of time before he could do it on his own, cane or none.
Even though I was waiting for this, it was still moving. I hope the progress continues as it has. Maybe, God willing, he won't need a cane in the near future.

Incredibly beautiful moment. I was crying like a baby the minute I hit play! So happy for Hayabusa, I never thought it would happen.

Man just how far in advance is japanese medicine Awesome that he can move like that. I find myself wondering if he used methods like Christopher Reeves used during his recovery efforts.

Frankly, the landing itself should have damn killed him. I'm really happy to see him walking at all. It's amazing really that any 46 year old man who wrestled in FMW can still walk, for that matter.
