Who the hell would want Jim Duggan on their Survivor Series team? He's always getting himself counted out or disqualified, acting in complete self-interest and prone to losing his temper over the most minor trespasses. Literally the worst team player.
If I found out I was on the same team with Duggan, I'd ask to be traded.

Watching ECW Hardcore TV Episode 143 (Jan 1996) and Rey Mysterio (in a weird black singlet) comes out to rescue 911 from an attack by the Eliminators - and Rey is cleaning house on both Saturn and Kronus with head scissors and dives galore, and then I see Saturn draped across the middle rope in perfect 619 positioning and it was so surreal to see Rey not do the move he had yet to invent yet I suppose as Saturn just got back up to feed into more movez.

The teams at Survivor Series 1999 were clearly formed by drawing names out of a hat.
My favorite is definitely the Val Venis/Mark Henry/Gangrel/Steve Blackman team.

Surviv Series 1999 also features the wonderful sign “Who Farted? Hi Dad!”
Truly the pinnacle of Attitude Era art.

Jim Ross really liked Henry Godwinn but didn't think much of Phinneas. At Survivor Series 1996, he says Phinneas was in the same grade in school for 3 straight years, then when Henry gets the tag to enter the match, he goes, "Okay, now business will pick up here. Ol' Hank knows what's goin' on." At Royal Rumble 1997, when Henry clotheslines Vader, he practically interrupts Vince in mid-sentence to say, "Did you see Henry Godwinn knock down Vader?!? Wow!" Watching New Age Outlaws vs The Godwinns from January 98 and Henry is just creaming Billy with stiff clotheslines and slams, he's a really intimidating guy. Phineas takes the pin when Road Dogg hits Phineas with a stuffed pig with a brick inside. I really love pre DX New Age Outlaws, they're such jerks and Road Dogg is so punchable. Edit: the segment where The Outlaws push Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie off the stage in the dumpster is awesome. Vince and the rest of the roster come out to check on Cactus and Chainsaw, 2 Cold Scorpio and Savio Vega try to attack the Outlaws which prompts the entire roster to do the same, Sunny is crying her eyes out, JR is using his quiet voice. Afterwards DX congratulate the Outlaws for pushing limits. This was an awesome segment.

When the Artist Formerly Known As Goldust impersonated Marilyn Manson, Marc Mero sends Sable to the back so he can introduce the real "beautiful people, the beautiful people" and introduces him as "Merolyn".

Been meaning to catch up on old RAWS and just found out last night..... that there was a WWF Network. Before the 1996 KOTR qualifying match between Goldust and Ultimate Warrior Vince on commentary said this match is taking place right on the WWF Network. Say what now!!!

Survivor Series 1999 is one of those PPV's that no one talks about despite being really, really bad. It was a weird transition time between Vince Russo and Chris Kreski.

The Hardys, Edge, and Christian vs Hollys and Too Cool match was good, Chyna vs Jericho was decent, and the main event wasn't bad, but yeah, not a great ppv outside of those 3 matches.

The first time I've come across The Rock doing The People's Elbow is on RAW 248 during a match against Steve Blackman. Granted I'm not watching the PPVs so it could have been used earlier.
This match has a hilarious finish where D'lo is supposed to pass nunchaks to Rock but clearly throws them over to Blackman.
On the same show, Commissioner Slaughter replaces "crooked" NWA referee Tommy Young with straight-shooting Earl Hebner before the Headbangers vs Rock N Roll Express match.

Not sure if this is deliberate continuity but at Survivor Series 1989, Rick Rude accidentally causes Mr. Perfect to go over the top rope.
At Royal Rumble 1990, two months later, the roles switch. Perfect accidentally causes Rude to go over the top rope.

I heard something similar on a Raw a bit later on in the year. He mentions the WWF Network and I wondered if it was an actual thing or used in the same way they use 'WWE Universe' now.

That’s what they called any station that aired WWF programs especially shows like superstars where in each market it’s on a different station at a different time so saying wwf network sounds more grandiose than syndication. Also during this time period wwf was hurting for ratings and superstars was either moved to the early AM or getting dropped by affiliates altogether.

Cheers for clearing that up. It does sound a lot better, giving the impression that WWF was in a much better place than it was.

There’s a woman in the front row at Survivor Series 1995 who looks like Doris Roberts. She is so delightful to watch because she’s such a mark for everything.

Also, Mr. Perfect’s commentary during the women’s elimination match is so cringe-worthy. Like, he doesn’t even try.
“What ever happened to the all-American lady?”

Child me wondered the same thing back then I was convinced they must’ve had their own network seeing superstars disappeared on my local station at the beginning of 96 in favor of infomercials. My buddy even called the station to find out and was told it got low ratings and they got more money to air infomercials.

Living Dangerously 1999, Rob Van Dam hits the most beautiful frog splash I've ever seen to win his match with Jerry Lynn. The crowd are hushed, he's in the air forever and it sounds like a thunder crack when he lands it.
