On Halloween Havoc 1999, Sting's 1997-99 theme is used to replace Metallica's "Seek and Destroy" during his entrance. For some reason, when WWE aired the show on their old on demand service years ago, the replacement music was Mike Knox's theme from when he was on ECW in 2006.

Didn't they also use that same music for Pitbull #2 on the Barely Legal DVD?

At Halloween Havoc 89, Jim Ross refers to WCW as "Sports Entertainment", so it WASNT just a WWF thing.

At the 1999 Royal Rumble, there is a "Sable is old!" sign.
She was 31. Jesus.

The Islanders were originally named Hako and Toma.
Their chyron on Wrestling Challenge even says as such.

Seeing its May 26th I decided to watch the 1/13/97 Nitro.Tony informs us that when a match is signed with the champion for the title 48 hours must pass before that title match can happen.

Watching a Smackdown episode from January 2001 earlier (the Smackdown after the Rumble) and both Justin Roberts and Alex Abrahantes show up in the Tough Enough audition videos.

Heyman's promo on the 7/9/2001 Raw after ECW aligns is awesome. He says "We'll take on WWF, we'll take on WCW". That's how it should've been. ECW as an outlier in the feud between WWF and WCW. It's conceptually fun, but WCW's side was so desperate for credible people that it would have been even more parched without Rhyno and RVD.

Watching the Smackdowns from Fall 1999 and the corresponding PPVs and there's one thing I found odd: Did Chyna and HHH ever have an official break-up/end of services segment on screen?
Up until No Mercy 1999, they were associated with Chyna doing her face feud with Jeff Jarrett on the side with the last act I saw her doing being in the car which HHH used to flee from Austin after the No Mercy main event.
Chyna didn't have an appearance on the post-PPV Smackdown (despite HHH being on it) and on the Smackdown following that, it was the official reunited DX show with HHH, the NAO and X-Pac joining forces as heels to take care of the Rock and Austin while Chyna made an appearance with the Kat to interfere in a Chris Jericho/Stevie Richards match. I think even the commentators made no reference to Chyna having ended her partnership with HHH or mentioned anything about her being absent from this DX reunion.
Just find it odd that they would just quietly end their association after they were virtually always in association with each other since Chyna debuted in February 1997.

Watching a Smackdown episode February 22nd 2001 the last Smackdown before No Way Out and the fans sing “You Suck!” as Kurt Angle’s music plays (He has his theme played to a montage of him kicking The Rock’s arse).
Don’t know if this is the first time the fans do this I always thought it was when Edge started chanting it a year later.

On the Mar. 12, 1994 WWF Superstars episode, go to the 20:45 mark. You can clearly see Billy Kidman, 19 years old at the time, in the crowd.

Watching the build for Mania X7 and it appears WWE were building a Benoit v Eddie match for Mania. At least by the storylines on the first week after No Way Out. Of course this didn’t happen Benoit faced Angle instead and Eddie beat Test for the European title.
There’s a few reasons I guess why this didn’t happen. Who the heck does Angle face if not Benoit? Maybe Eddie wasn’t given the match due to problems he was having at the time (remember he gets fired a few months later). Or was this just a way to get Benoit over as a face?
To be fair other matches for Mania X7 haven’t started their build yet like HHH v Taker & Regal v Jericho. Shane McMahon also isn’t back on the show yet. The Hardyz are too busy feuding with Crash & Molly than anywhere near TLC 2. Taker & Kane are also still feuding with Rikishi & Haku who end up left off Mania all together.

I completely forgot Brian Kendrick started his WWE run appearing on Velocity picking up victories under different masks.

One of Test's wedding presents before he married Stephanie was a copy of WrestleMania 2000 for N64.

Every title in WWE changed hands in April 2001. A sign of things to come for the Invasion where there seemed to be a title change every show.
WWE Title: Rock to Austin IC Title: Jericho to HHH to Jeff Hardy to HHH Tag title: Dudleyz to E&C to Taker & Kane to Austin & HHH European title: Test to Eddie to Matt Hardy Hardcore Title: Raven to Kane to Rhyno Light heavyweight Title: Crash to Jerry Lynn Womens Title: Ivory to Chyna

The Crusher had an amazing promo style. I could listen to him talking about dealing with drunks in saloons for hours. Well actually I watched two clips but they were great, he even made himself laugh.

According to Bobby Heenan, the driver of the Lex Express is none other than 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter.

I'm watching WCW, WWF, and ECW in chronological order and I'm up to July 1996 and I had no idea that Jimmy Hart managed Lex Luger in 1995-1996.
I didn't start watching wrestling until right after Hall and Nash debuted as the Outsiders so I missed the entire Lex Luger might be a heel storyline that happened earlier that year.
