I'm watching WCW, WWF, and ECW in chronological order and I'm up to July 1996 and I had no idea that Jimmy Hart managed Lex Luger in 1995-1996. I didn't start watching wrestling until right after Hall and Nash debuted as the Outsiders so I missed the entire Lex Luger might be a heel storyline that happened earlier that year. The most interesting Luger ever was.

Luger really got over as a babyface especially when they had him bear Hogan for the Title and had that small reign in I think 1997.

As a character that stuff teaming with Sting was great. When Luger went full face afterwards I found him kinda boring. He got great crowd reactions cause he was a star who won every week with his move. Its such a simple concept winning every week with your move but it works.

Austin was quite good in wcw. It's amazing how they didn't see what they had.

The original plan for the Bob Backlund vs. Bret Hart match at the 1994 Survivor Series was apparently to have Stu Hart, not Helen Hart, toss the towel into the ring. Todd Pettengill, in his post-show report on the November 26 Superstars, mentioned Stu's name but not Helen's. The segment was clearly taped before Survivor Series as there were no photos/videos from the show included, just Pettengill saying what happened.

The breakout star of WrestleMania 14 is the man in the front row wearing the green shirt.

Rodney Mack debuted on Smackdown and replaced B2 as John Cena's enforcer.

Nitro 3/30/98
Jesse, the crowd is hot the entire time. Also, for anyone who thinks the nWo should've ended, WCW would've missed out on tons of money. There are so many nWo shirts in the crowd, and Buff Bagwell gets one of the biggest pops of the night. I'd even argue the Nash and Savage got a better face reaction than Sting and Luger.

Rob Bartlett does a scarily good job of impersonating Vince's commentary.

Nitro 2/1/99
Show is...interesting. There's only one match in the first hour, but damn, the crowd is HOT.

Watching Raw & Superstars from 1995 and my god Diesel’s promos are awful especially the superstars ones. Also they debuted way too many geeks in January 1995 from Mantaur, Man Mountain Rock, The Blu’s, Kama and even Hakushi was unimpressive in his raw debut.

I didn’t realize Bret vs Hakushi started so early in 95. 1st Superstars after Royal Rumble Bret is outed as a racist who hates japanese people. That escalated quickly.

I had no clue Mike Enos was one of the Beverly Brothers. I guess I never really paid close enough attention. I just always though he was a random WCW jobber.

Enos and Wayne Bloom (the other Beverly Brother) were a strong team in the dying days of the AWA, holding their tag belts until they lost them on the last AWA TV taping.

Johnny Rodz actually won matches and also Antonino Rocca may be the sloppiest looking commentator

This is an odd one, but...
Frankie was severely clipped. He pretty much had no flight feathers. I get it, don't want him flying away in an arena, but having watched lots of macaw videos, it really pops out now.

Random notes on Nitro 11/23/98:
The Nitro Party winner is from a city about 10 minutes from where I grew up with a rival high school.
Mike Enos gets a better amount of offense against Lex Luger than you'd imagine.
Lots of recaps.
They open the 2nd hour with Saturn vs Silver King. This is the same time as Raw beginning, which was starting with the return of SHAWN MICHAELS as commissioner. How did WCW last as long?
Also, during the aforementioned match, I think the fans start chanting "cowboy sucks" at Silver King (he wore a cowboy hat).
We should've gotten a proper Booker T vs Stevie Ray feud around this time. I know we got one in 2000, but....
Not sure 90 percent of fans even realized who Barry Windham is, and if they remember him from his recent WWF run, it's not much help.
