I didn't realize Sid returned 3 weeks after being stripped of the wcw title by Bischoff to then turn heel on DDP to help Bischoff then disappear again.
Also Vince Russo sure likes getting hit in the balls Miss Elizabeth has done it every nitro & thunder for the last month.Plus he's all over the shows he feuding with entire company aswell more focused stuff with Elizabeth,Luger,Flair,Steiner and Nash.

Watching Starrcade 1992:
Match rundown at the top of the show, Ron Simmons' past as an All American for Florida State is mentioned along with being WCW World Champion. Man, they loved emphasizing their talents' experience in legitimate sports. Even when they have become well established in pro wrestling.
Jesse Venturais is wearing a ball cap promoting the Malcolm X biopic.
Hank Aaron presented Sting with the championship ring for winning last year's Battle Bowl. Really, Hank Aaron is such an unsung sports figure. He was the all time home run king at the time (and some would argue still is), and here he is as an employee of Turner Sports presenting a ring for a worked sport in the Omni.
Battle Bowl is abbreviated this year. Probably to fit in some singles matches (all championship matches, and one being the finals of the King of Cable tournament) and a unified tag team title match. Only four Lethal Lottery matches and only one ring instead of two, unlike the previous year.
Some guys are pulling triple duty on this show by wrestling in the Lethal Lottery, Battle Bowl and a match in between. Sting and Vader wrestled each other in the King of Cable finals. Steve Williams (substituting for an injured Rick Rude) challenged Ron Simmons for the WCW Title. The Great Muta challenging Masahiro Chono for the NWA Title. Barry Whindham teaming up with Brian Pillman to challenge Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas for the Unified Tag Team Championship. The kicker is that Whindham and Pillman were on opposite sides of a Lethal Lottery match.
Great Muta uses a half Boston on Chono and Jim Ross wonders if they call it a "Boston crab" in Japan. Ventura speculates that they call it a "Hiroshima crab" in Japan.

I learned that Oliver Humperdink came into the WWF hating Bobby Heenan off the bat and had an introductory interview with Craig DeGeorge. I always thought his first appearance was with either Bam Bam or Orndroff

World Champion David Arquette vs Tank Abbott took place on nitro in 2000. The night after Arquette turns heel he reveals the kidnapping by the new blood and multiple savage beatdowns from the likes of Jarrett and Tank Abbott were all fake and a plan all along to gain DDP's confidence so he could screw him out of the triple cage world title match. Shawn Stasiak as The New Mr.Perfect Chuck Palumbo as the new lex luger.
These shows do not flow together and it's like whoever wrote them had never seen wcw or any wrestling show ever.

I have never seen a more non-intimidating tough guy than Killer Karl Kox on the Mid-South shows.
Dude looks like a veteran from the nearby retirement home who could beaten by the lowliest jobber on these shows but the announcers make it sound like he is such a threat.

Yes, does not wear a mask. To describe him, just imagine something like the below picture of Verne Gagne except more flabbier and old-looking:

El Pollo Guerrera
Grimlock
His name has chicken in it, and he is good at makin' .gifs, so that's cool.

If he looked like that back in 1982, I would not have made those comments.
But in Mid-South in 1982, he really looks like your old next-door grandpappy.

WCW's timing issues at Halloween Havoc 98 could have been easily preventable. There is so much stuff on that card that didn't need to be there.
Nitro Girls Three promos on the stage (1 by Hogan of course) A cruiserweight number 1 contender match then a Cruiserweight title match Alex Wright v Finlay Lodi v Saturn A tag title match between Scott Steiner and Giant v Bagwell & Rick Steiner leading to yet another Bagwell heel turn and the Steiner v Steiner match
Could have easily saved it

In a span of 2 weeks in May of 2000 Lex Luger was injuried so badly that he was stretchered out and sent to a nearby medical facility via ambulance 3 times and he never missed a show. You can say a lot about Luger but you can never question that man's work ethic or dedication to his job.

Considering how popular she was (going by the reactions during the Cornette feud), I am surprised they turned Baby Doll heel after just 8 months of being face.

There was an episode of Monday Nitro where a Kevin Sullivan vs Chris Benoit match made its way into the public restroom. WCW apparently didn't secure/clear the area first. There were fans in the restroom and a HUGE mob of fans outside making it near impossible for everyone to get out to bring the action back down to the ring. Woman was trying to beat fans with one of her shoes to get them out of the way.
The same episode has not one but TWO singles matches featuring the Amazing French Canadians and each time they tried to do the "singing O' Canada badly" bit.
