I wouldnt mind if chikara just abandon all the chalenge of imortals thing Add COTI to Joshimania for events we'll never see around Chikara again. People just don't care enough about it. I can't say that I blame them. I thought Joshimania drew well? For a post season thing it did seem to draw pretty good crowds for a three night thing. I could see them doing that again, just maybe one night this time or something
Then again these are Joshi you want to get your moneys worth out of, so maybe coupling it with the Season Finale. Joshimania the night before, Season Finale after, or just an event in general. Then you have a big Joshi Night, and then maybe a few Joshis sprinkled in the following event
I will say in 2011 and 2012 CHIKARA was Joshi Crazy... that seems to have cooled off entirely though. Which sucks to me because I love the Joshi style, but I also understand that they don't come cheap...

Those shows didn't draw that well. Especially for all the talent they flew in. I had a friend that went to the show in Philadelphia at the last minute and they had a bunch of ringside tickets left. We won't be seeing a weekend of shows like that again. It didn't do that well. I was glad to see them at King of Trios back in 2012 because the ones that cancelled for Joshimania ended up coming in for those shows. I think the Joshi stuff ran its course. Maybe Chikara will start bringing in AAA talent since their team won King of Trios this year. Chikara could use some more guests coming in. Team AAA were really over. |

The Wrestle Factory redid their payment structure, which just removed a MAJOR roadblock for me.

As far as COTI, I know Quack mentioned on 101 that they're on track to finish this season and have the top 2 teams face off at Top Banana.
It was a big undertaking to do, especially with indy talent. Heck, they had problems with the 12 Large Summit (Brodie got hurt, Vin couldn't make shows, Claudio left for WWE) and that was just 30 matches.
The one issue above all else I have with the COTI is that there's not a leaderboard or a dedicated page for it on the Chikara website. I shouldn't have to rely on fans for leaderboard information.

Hadn't watched Chikara in years but checked out King Of Trios because of Bullet Club and Team AAA. Wow, what a great series of shows.
And I'm officially in love with Princess KimberLee.
