How's the gameplay?
For my fellow United Kingdomers, in my experience you can usually get the pre-order bonuses if you buy within a few days of release.

The new controls are super intuitive. I love that all strike grapples are now tied to the strike button, and also that everyone has a basic scoop slam and vertical suplex as diagonal grapples. It makes setting up spots way easier.

Man, the more I play of it the more I like it. It helps that, unlike in 2k15, I was able to make my signature CAW look like the big, angry Sheamus-esque hoss he's supposed to be.
The Terminator's randomly came with a really sick standing Burning Hammer too.

Only got to play around with it for about an hour last night, and MyCareer has some serious potential. The "pre-set" basic move list idea they have is kinda cool. There's an actual Chris Hero set up in there. I forget what subclass it is.
4:30 can't get here soon enough. Stupid work.

So between needing sleep and having to go back in earlier today, I've managed to play about 10 single matches to just get a feel for the new gameplay. Difficulty was left on normal and I recommend going into the options when you first load it up to turn on blood.
I love the new gameplay, the limited reversals have honestly given me atleast 6 awesome matches. It really helps with match pacing. Everything looks great to me, game runs smooth. I LOVE all the strike moves being dedicated to the strike button now, it's incredibly satisfying to have a difference between strikes and grapples. The AI plays pretty well from what I can tell so far. Most impressive so far was that when I wrestled heels, they went from a chair after getting their ass kicked for awhile and I even had Adam Rose leave the ring and get himself counted out after a big move. This was just exhibition mode, mind you.
The submission system needs a slight tweak. I like it, and I've gotten one mid match sub out of it (was pretty lucky) but it feels just a hair sluggish. You really need to manage your stamina for the boost you can use when applying and so far I just want it to feel a little smoother. It would never bother me if it didn't though, I dig it.
The new pinning system really helps with drama. Once you get the hang of it, I find it much better than the previous system or just mashing buttons.
Rest holds are cool and contribute to match pacing quite well.
This is nitpicky but I'm a little disappointed with Hideo not really having that Yakuza Kick he's used or whatever it's called. Instead he just has Single Leg Dropkick, which is fine and all, but it just doesn't seem like the move. Kalisto's Listo Kick leaves a lot to be desired and the mo capping just seemed weak on it.
With that said, the move set tweaks really make you feel like you are playing as that wrestler. Balor felt like Balor, Owens like Owens.
Of the 10 matches I think I lost 4 which were not due to my error in learning the controls. The wrestlers definitely show the effects of a long match like slowly turning someone around in the turnbuckle and it can have that old school feel when you lose by something other than a finisher but still a big move. I had a brutal extreme rules match with Bray Wyatt and had kicked out of 2 sister Abigail's when finally he hit me with t bone of sorts into a bridging pin on top of a chair.
Breakout is pretty cool but I don't anticipate abusing it at all.
I think that's about it so far, I'll be playing it all day later and will write other updates about my experience with it. So far, I'm glad I preordered because Terminator 1 comes with a siiiiiick standing burning hammer.

I cannot figure out the submission system. Got a dude in red in a finisher sub and I can barely keep him in the move for 10 seconds.
The circle thing feels so unresponsive

Ive been watching gameplay videos an entrances and the game looks fine except for one thing that keeps pissing me off. Has nothing to do really with gameplay or important game elements and whatnot. But, holy shit, that is NOT Levi's Stadium. Its not even close. I saw another entrance video with a WM 19 and thats not Safeco. Have the developers of the game only been to Metlife Stadium? because thats what it is. Everytime. I know its small and insignificant but if you are going to go all out, the least you can do is get the f***ing venues right. Ok, ill bugger off now. Which is stupid because HCTP went out of its way to make Raw and SD B arenas just to have a different roof you're barely ever gonna see Even SmackDown Shut Your Mouth was able to model the interior of the Skydome for WrestleMania X8. In this video, you can really tell that it's the SkyDome's interior. The Rock and HHH's entrances really show how big the arena is for WrestleMania.

Game seems pretty good so far. I'm just getting the Stone Cold stuff out of the way before I get really serious. Feels good stomping mudholes in people, when you mash the strike button while the guy is down Steve really lets loose and it looks good, I like the running stomp where it looks like he's really sizing the guy up before he digs his boot in. It's kind of annoying how they censor any mention of WWF, and the attention to detail isn't all that strict, the television monitor spot in the Bret Hart I Quit match is left out which was a pretty pivotal spot.
Submission system is clunky and tough but I like it, one advantage these games have over the classics is that they always give you some glimmer of hope to come back into the match even though it's difficult. The reversal system is pretty smart, it definitely adds tension knowing you really have to pick your spots, especially when you're down on the mat and the opponent is kicking and grabbing the hell out of you and you have to sit and be patient through it all.

I've got to second the irritation at the censorship. When the Austin 3:16 speech has to be bleeped FOUR times (three WWF mentions and the name-dropping of Thunderbird), you know something's screwy.

870 MB patch on launch day, whassupwitdat? Nothing wrong with that. Just means they're prmopt with fixing stuff. People were really kvetching about the title glitch (hoping it was a glitch) in Universe. BTW, just came in the mail and installing now. Was the Terminator stuff supposed to be a code in the box, like they used to have? Mine didn't have one.

I remember with my order of Sniper Elite 3, I got the codes and everything the day before release, so I could download the content in advance, which was great! Shame the game turned up two days late.
