Someone on reddit apparently say that not only is Pillman in the game but the gun controversial gun scene is too. Here's what's posted:
I just got the chance to witness the Brian's got a gun cut scene in 2K16 and they nailed the f*** out it. I can't wait till other people see it so they can post their comments. Everything was done to a tee, the anticipation, the sound, the commentary, the little background noises, everything. You FELT it. Another thing I'm loving is how much more accurate the Attitude Era feels in this game even if it's not entirely focused on the era like WW13 was. WW2K16 eviscerates WWE13 out of the water when it comes too capturing the vibe, feel, and atmosphere of the Attitude Era.
In 13, everything felt copy and pasted from the modern era. Each arena were the same with a different template. Not in 2K16 . If you play a match at WrestleMania 14, then one at Wrestlemania 31, you KNOW, SEE, and FEEL the difference in both areanas. Same goes for Monday Night Raw. Playing in the 98 version of MNR you can still see the thick lingering smoke throughout the match from Kane's pyro dwelling into the crowd. The lighting is entirely different too, giving off a moody dark but energetic vibe that was known throughout the 90's. It's not just copy and paste anymore. Every arena was individually crafted to give it its own unique feel. The size, vibe, and feel of the arena is completely separated from the modern era.
So from the little that I've seen, this game is going to be fun to play.
