I wonder if Kanna was just a typo at NXT and she'll get a new name, and will she eventually go to the main roster or is this just an NXT deal?

She really seemed excited to be at Takeover.  I'd like to see how you look after sitting next to Ric Flair for 3 hours. Have to break kayfabe and ruin your joke there: They were carted in for that shot, then brought back out again. But yeah, Tricky Ric probably already put the moves on her backstage. |

For what it's worth, Kanna itself is an actual Japanese name. Kana's whole thing is being Kana though, throwing her name onto everything. She's obsessed with herself and her brand and I mean that in the most flattering way possible because it's admirable to see what she's built for herself. I can't see her not using her name in some way, shape, or form, even if it's an extra n in there. |

If it wasn't for me not trusting even NXT's booking this much, I would say they could make a REALLY great angle out of Eva Marie vs Kana.
But it would involved Eva Marie initially getting her ass kicked. Like Cena/Lesnar ass kicked. And then in continuity building herself up to finally getting Kana's respect. Turning the angle the WWE is rumored to want into one the fans can get behind.
I don't think WWE is ready to do that with their women wrestlers.

Never seen her work, and I'm already impressed. You know what's REALLY cool? She's actually an awesome wrestler. It's not on YouTube or anything (that I know of) but you can try to check out Shimmer Vol. 50 and catch her awesome match with Ayako Hamada. I also recommend pretty much anything of her vs Arisa Nakajima or her friend Mio Shirai. (Who I probably like more than Kana.) I'm not the authority on women's wrestling or anything, but I'm sure someone else is and recommend more, but that's stuff I really enjoyed and made me a fan of her. Thanks for this suggestion. I ended up watching a tag team match involving all four of those women. Hamada and Nakajima vs. Kana and Mio. I thought it was a great match, though kind sucked it ended as a draw via time running out. Some of the spots were just brutal. Kana's kicks looked downright nasty at times. In a good way, I mean. Like I saw and heard them and was like, "God damn that even hurt me!" Also, thanks for suggesting I see a match with Mio in it. I'm already smitten. Started watching some of her other matches. Great stuff. |

Eva's not going to be good enough to make that believable or something any sane person would want to see , for a very long time If anything NXT should do that type of story with Bayley. But first have Bayley get a couple of defenses in. If Alexa was still a face she'd also be preferable to Eva in that role. |
