I agree with the AP. This may set up the first Big Ten #1 vs #2 since Michigan v Ohio State in 2006...that is if IF they are both still undefeated Ina. Few weeks

With the understanding that I think polls prior to week 8 or 9 are stupid, and the AP poll is the second stupidest poll beind the coaches, I would agree with that poll in principle.
Also, is it just me, or have college football games just been much more exciting this year? I don't know if it's all the changes from the playoffs or what, but these first few weeks have actually been entertaining, not something to skip.

Auburn is a 3.5 point fave next week vs Mississippi State.

Yeah not a big fan of doing college football polls so early in the season but it seems like the media wants it so we get them. It is even more pointless now because it is the CFP committee who makes the call. If you must do polls before the CFP committee rankings start then don't make it a weekly thing. Give teams time to show their strengths and weaknesses and take it from there. I would say do a poll after week 4, another after week 6, and then after week 8 go to weekly polls.

Now that Louisville is 0-3 I wonder when Bobby Petrino will resign and try to find something better.

Alabama redshirt sophomore WR Robert Foster will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn rotator cuff in Saturday’s loss to Ole Miss.

So, Ohio State didn't drop at all after a game which they should have lost against an unranked team outside of the big-5.
Of course they f****** didn't. They're not even trying to hide the fact that they have their favorites. I'm surprised the AP didn't keep Alabama in the top 10 and didn't use the "in-conference" loss bullsht.
Eat a dick.

Auburn is a 3.5 point fave next week vs Mississippi State. That makes no sense. Auburn just got blown-out by a team MSU went to the wire with and could easily be 1-2 or even 0-3.

TCU has now lost six defensive starters this season. My goodness, if the Sooners stay healthy and continue playing well, Baker Mayfield, Sterling Sheppard and Perine are going to feast on that defense in Norman. The Sooners could win the conference. Baylor has no defense, and TCU's defense is in shambles. Now that Louisville is 0-3 I wonder when Bobby Petrino will resign and try to find something better. Louisville was smart and the buyout is massive, so he won't be taking off unless he wants to part with $10 million.

Louisville may have to fire him. So it depends on your version of smart. If they wanted to block his exit sure it's smart. But if they don't want to have to pay a huge sum to can him, it isn't the smartest choice. Right now his seat cushion could be beginning to warm above room temp.

Here's the thing with early season polls? Who cares? Call me in November and even then this process should be abolished.

When asked whether Alabama had found an identity on offense yet, HC Nick Saban responded "no."
Ole Miss will be without Mississippi junior S Tony Conner for "about four weeks with meniscus tear/surgery," according to Mississippi head coach Hugh Freeze.

The meltdown of Bammer during Finebaum was good for the short duration I was able to listen today. Sure did seem like they took some long commercial breaks
