Feel like Brock was put in a difficult place at the end.
They spent an hour saying how everyone knows it's scripted and even throwing out the word "fake", and then you expect Brock to cut a kayfabe promo on his match with Taker. I'm not surprised he struggled to get his words out.

The one thing I took away from that is that Brock Lesnar the person seems like a pretty straight shooter and the kind of guy you'd want to grab a beer with. I feel like I agreed with a lot of his general talking points. And I'm not exclusively saying that because he could rip my arms off and beat me to death with them.

"I hate people" "I don't really have any friends" "I was the guy picking on others on the playground" You want to grab a beer with this guy? I like Brock inside the ring and seems fine in interviews, but not exactly the type I'd want to be friends with

Not to play arm-chair psychologist, but I've found that those who tend to keep to themselves like that and keep their distance also largely tend to be the most loyal and trusting people. Plus, I worked in retail for several years, so I can TOTALLY relate to his 'I hate people' talking point, because I muttered it under my breath on an almost daily basis.

I thought it was a good interview. There might be something to learn from him for guys who are in the WWE right now who might do better to have a more business like approach to things, it does sort of seem like this generation are so happy to live "the dream" of being a professional wrestler in the WWE that their actual dream of being a top prospect eludes them because they're being taken advantage of for being good soldiers.

I've known a few people who seem very similar to Brock with regards to his sociability, but I've always found that if you do find you have something genuinely in common with them, they become great people to talk to and actually begin to open up with you. Although I don't think you'd get anywhere with him if you ever made one mention of wrestling to Brock.

Damn good point right there. It's even seen in the presentation. Instead of "we scoured the earth and found the baddest men and women on the planet to wrestle for us", its "these men and women would eat a bowl of shit to wrestle for WWE, because they grew up watching and love this business". I think the former would lead to better business, more of that larger than life thing they want. This whole everyone's a fan who played with Shawn Michaels action figures thing takes away from things.

Tried to watch but didn't make it too far. Lesnar is too different a person from me to want to hear him talk for an hour.

Not one mention of Punk, that's surprising. It wouldn't surprise me if Austin was told not to mention him. They had the perfect opportunity with talking about Brock's MMA career and they could've mentioned it, but WWE's probably trying to get away from Punk. Why would he mention him tho. I believe it was said a while maybe by Punk that Brock gave Punk some tips but that's about the gist of it.

Glad Brock didn't along with Austin's usual bullshit Pro wrestling/Sports entertainment stuff.

I doubt Brock knows/cares about any other aspect of Punk leaving, but it could've been an interesting discussion.
