How is Hopkins left that open?? You ask these questions but the answers are right there in front of you: it probably has a lot to do with the fact that the Colts defense isn't any good.

The officials this season aren't even ass, they are worse than ass. They are an embarrassment. NFCC, AFCC or Super Bowl, they will decide one of them with a f***ed up call.

Defensive holding and pass interference penalties in today's NFL are an abomination. The league has gone out of its way to make defense a four-letter word.

This game is the equivalent of the infamous Crimson/Matt Morgan slapfight/pull apart brawl

This game is the equivalent of the infamous Crimson/Matt Morgan slapfight/pull apart brawl When you get two bad teams that play one another, you can't be all that surprised when the result is as putrid as what we're watching tonight.

Houston with a great game plan down 10 with 10 minutes left... milk the clock with short outs to the RB
Also Jadeveon Clowney is a bust right?

This game is the equivalent of the infamous Crimson/Matt Morgan slapfight/pull apart brawl This is nothing compared to Bills at Jets in 2009. Nobody wanted to win that game, there were missed field goals, and QBs throwing picks left and right.

The Colts defense tonight was the perfect combination of getting no pressure on the quarterback and leaving receivers wide open. They made Brian Hoyer look like an All-Pro, as there was a period in the game when he was something like 13-for-14 and he finished with 300-plus yards passing.
Just remember that when the Patriots are hanging 60 on them a week from Sunday.

Colts don't have a prayer in 4 of their next 5 games, and they may very well lose all 5 (Patriots, Saints, Denver, Atlanta, Carolina) They'll probably lose them all. What a putrid team... one many thought was going to be in the Superbowl.
Also Houston is terrible

Just remember that when the Patriots are hanging 60 on them a week from Sunday. Not that they are a great defense by any means, but let's be honest about their situation. Anderson is hurt (which affects their rush up the middle) and Davis is hurt (they don't play zone coverage, which they suck at, when he is healthy). Now they get 10 days to get those guys and Mathis back healthy. They might still lose, but I doubt anyone will drop 60 on them if everyone is healthy.

Colts record with Andrew Luck as starting quarterback: 1-2 Colts record with Matt Hasselbeck as starting quarterback: 2-0 I don't want to start a quarterback controversy, but... The Colts defense tonight was the perfect combination of getting no pressure on the quarterback and leaving receivers wide open. They made Brian Hoyer look like an All-Pro, as there was a period in the game when he was something like 13-for-14 and he finished with 300-plus yards passing. Now they get 10 days to get those guys and Mathis back healthy. They might still lose, but I doubt anyone will drop 60 on them if everyone is healthy. The Patriots put up 51 on the Jaguars and Jacksonville didn't even do anything wrong. After this past off-season, the Patriots are going into Indianapolis with the intention of demoralizing and humiliating the Colts. Trust me, they don't want to score 60. They want to score 70. Also, the Patriots scored 42 and 45 on the Colts defense last season and that was before they had a reason to tar and feather them. With vengeance in their eyes, they'll do everything in their power to run up the score.

ugh....
I think part of the Pats fan base is passing the STL Cards base on the "delusions of grandeur" scale.
Only people they have to blame for the situation they went through in the offseason is the face staring back at them in the damn mirror.

I said this yesterday in the news and notes thread: Just saw on twitter that Luck is out tonight. The Colts' expected starter Hasselbeck was in the ER until 2am with some kind of virus. If Houston still can't win tonight, they should forfit their remaining games and just go home until training camp I stand by it. Go home Houston, you're just embrassing now. That defense sucks really bad. What happened to Watt? Is he hurt? Can we start calling Clowney a bust? Is Vince Wilfork done?
