If Data wanted to do something funny, he should have taken off Geordi's VISOR and thrown it into the sea. Why do you think Geordi had those optical implants in First Contact? He realized, "Wait, shit, someone once hacked this thing to make me kill someone, this is a major security risk!"? |

Also, wasn't Worf's promotion basically right as the war started with the Klingons? You mean Sisko's? Worf's was a little before that, because the war with the Klingons is what brought Worf to Deep Space 9, after the Enterprise-D was destroyed. My mistake. What I meant was that Worf wasn't really promoted in rank on DS9, just his job was changed, along with a shift from Operations to Command. No real need for a ceremony for that. Also, yeah, it did happen as tensions were rising with The Klingons, while his promotion on the Enterprise was during peacetime. |
