How long's she been at WWE? And it just suddenly occured to her now that she's got to get her shit together if she's going to be of any use to WWE?

If she has been training with Carlo Cannon then she's probably been at it since around about June. I reckon that she probably realises that she may be on shaky ground with the four horsewomen and the other newer women that are in NXT so she wants to actually be able to wrestle.

Since the women's wrestling boom in the company the past year. Being a Pretty Face B*tch isn't enough to cut it at the moment, the WWE Booking is absolute shit but the matches are much longer and more intricate than Cameron was ever used to in ring
Like Eva, she's basically trying to, what do you know, actually improve her wrestling ability to stay essentially in the same realm as the division. How it turns out however will remain to be seen

The only reason I don't like sneering comments like this is that I get the feeling that before the whole paradigm shift NXT caused, people like Eva, Cameron, etc... (any of the women hired for "the look" without having any prior experience [no, Tough Enough does not count], basically) weren't exactly given the option of "getting their shit together" because Vince McMahon couldn't have given a rats' ass about if WWE women could even stumble through the basics or not. And I'm sure that Vince still doesn't give a rats' ass, but HHH kind of does (to show he can do things differently than Vince), and Steph somewhat does (insofar as she wants to be able to ride its wave for her own self-aggrandizement if people care about women in WWE), so now, if they're not getting much TV time, they're actually in a position to get supplementary training and practice. Of course, I'm more curious as to see if the WWN partnership means they'll send her out to get experience in WWN-affiliated promotions before trying to rehabilitate her image on NXT or RAW... But I'm not going to shit all over them for not busting through a door that Vince had shut and locked on them until NXT broke it down.

Best wishes to her. There's literally years of hard work ahead if she's really gonna succeed at it but if she does, major props.

At least she's trying to work on improving. Nothing is worst than a talent that cruises on their previous accolades and sleep walk through matches. And I'm not talking about the "model Divas".

My memory's a bit hazey on this but didn't she come to WWE at the same time as Naomi? Whereas Naomi, I'm assuming, worked her ass off on her ring work from early on and is clearly competent, to the point where she's a part of the "Diva's Revolution", why didn't Cameron? It's not a sneer at these "models" being hired, I have no problem with that. My problem is that they know they have an uphill struggle from day one since they're lacking the in-ring experience that others have and so they need to be on the ball from day one if they're to achieve their potential in WWE.

Both Kelly Kelly and Candice Michelle busted their asses shortly after they got hired, using their days off to train and whatnot, and this was in the days before the Performance Center existed. While it obviously didn't work out too well for Kelly, Candice actually became pretty decent over time and stayed that way until her collarbone injuries.
So if friggin' Candice can become a competent wrestler over the course of three years, with vastly more limited resources, I'm not going to cheerlead Cameron for suddenly deciding, after nearly five years, that she could use some more training. Christ almighty, Dana Brooke has improved more in one year than Cameron has in nearly five. If Cameron really gave a shit she'd have been working her ass off as soon as WWE signed her to a development deal.

Trainer: "Hey Cameron you should really get to training. Come over here"
Cameron: "NO I DONT WANNA!"
Trainer: "Come on you really need to learn this move"
Cameron: "NO!" *raspberry noises*

If it means she'll learn that people need to be on their backs for a pin attempt, I'm all for it.

Naomi was part of the Gong Show that was NXT 3 (2010), so if nothing else, it seems like WWE had always intended for her to wrestle from the time she hit FCW. Cameron was thrown off of Tough Enough (2011) pretty early on, either way, it looks like Naomi was signed first.

can't knock her trying to improve, but I would've released her when she got taken off total divas. With the divas boom this year, there is really no place or purpose for her

Did she not already go back, haha? That's where I thought she was this entire time. Didn't they do some kind of Total Divas storyline a while ago where she went back to developmental?
