Doesn't Maria and The Bellas hate one another and why she left WWE? It was a Maria return they squashed over something Maria said/did on a Raw post show but both sides have said it is behind them.

Throwback Thursdays: Bryan Danielson (c) vs. Roderick Strong ROH World Championship "Vendetta" November 5, 2005 Chicago Ridge, IL I'm surprised they'd put this one up. IMO it's far and away one of the top 5 matches in ROH history. It's also the one that impressed me enough to make me a regular customer of the company.

I....continue to not see the big deal about Michael Elgin. I used to like him quite a lot, but the booking from 2012-14 really ruined him for me. They had him chase the title, get a title match, choke and lose, rinse and repeat. Over and over again. It soured me on him because by the time he actually won the title I really couldn't have cared less about him or his title goals. Since then it feels like he lost a step in the ring, has no defining character, and worst of all - he's boring as f***. Elgin's time has passed and I don't want to see him in ROH anymore.

I'll say this, Davey admittedly can get a great match out of an ok-good wrestler, but it takes two exceptional talents for something this exceptional. I mean, if you still don't like Elgin after, then he's totally not for you. But, why not judge him by one of his absolute best matches?

I think the SCUM feud really hurt Elgin and Lethal. Made them both look like second rate chumps with that final cage match that saw NEITHER of them able to defeat SCUM, but rather the defecting Steen being the savior and basically shown as single-handedly better than the entire company. Look at how much Lethal was hated here until his TV title reign really got going. Elgin really didn't get that same chance to rebuild and refresh his character, and while BITW '14 was a great moment (that came at the expense in some's eyes of derailing an Adam Cole reign that had really just started to get going) the only real standout marvelous defense he had was at Field of Honor '14, and then he lost the best within weeks. Then they collided Elgin and Ciampa doing similar disgruntled employee gimmicks at the expense of Ciampa, which seemed to sour people on Elgin further. He admittedly did great stuff in G4, and "guy who is returning after redeeming himself in Japan" is the most compelling he's been in quite a while, I feel he just needs a mouthpiece not just for promos, but overall overhaul.

I didn't see his G1 work but I did hear that he did very well and gave his career a rebirth of sorts ... I just don't see it happening in ROH. The fans still seem "eh" about him and I'm much the same. The redemption stuff, I'm not really buying, and his work is still pretty boring and samey. I think it worked in Japan because his style is fresh over there and he can work with a bunch of people he's never faced before. Maybe give it a year or two away from the company and see what happens then. Returning-hero, Japan-conquering Michael Elgin sounds a lot better than apologetic Elgin.
