More than I was making on the dole. Anything else is my business.

no idea, and I cant be arsed converting it into dollars for a throw away thread. I was simply asking. After 15 years they treated me like an overpaid piece of trash. I can't survive on what I was offered so walked away. I'm at a rock bottom place in life and have been unable to sleep since I became jobless last week. The job search has been bleak. Sorry for this throway thread thought we were encouraged to talk about our real life problems on here. sorry I should have phrased it better (after a few days this thread will probably have dropped to page 5 which is why I used the phrasing I did.) but to some it's a personal question that they don't want to answer. I genuinely haven't seen a wageslip since about march as the company I work for digitised that process lastyear and you can only access it in work and I currently spend as little time there as possible, but personally wouldn't want to know what people earn nor would I want people knowing what I earn. that and it would have taken me half an hour to find all the bank statements to add it all up. I do empathise with the loss of a job as I have been there a few times more than I'd like to admit.

See, I don't look at it in terms of money, I look at it in terms of forced overtime. Which is a lot.

Alternate Thread Title: Brag About How Much Money You Make Well I'm currently making none, am in a lot of debt, and can barely function the past week in fear I'll end up living on the street, so I'm none to brag. I was just joking dude. I'm in the same boat. No job, I'm just doing little odd jobs here and there for a few bucks and selling plasma and stuff. I think I got a new job though, I'll find out for sure in like an hour!

A shade under £13,000 per year before taxes and all that shit. About $20,000 at current exchange rates. It's enough for now, though it doesn't allow me the ability to generate any savings.

I live comfortably at the moment. But with the way things are going here economically at the moment, I can count myself very lucky for the time being.

I'm somewhere in the middle. It's just me, so I'm in decent shape. Bought a condo two years ago, so I should be able to make money back once I sell.

That woman was me Chaos! That woman was me all along!! I know your're joking but words cannot describe my hate for the woman. Was I overpaid? I dunno maybe. But I needed every bit of it to pay the bills and had 15 years experience earning my raises. Others in the company have told me she's trying to make a name for herself and it came at my expense.

I understand. I joke because I feel your pain. I work a contract job. The base pay ain't much but I get decent overtime. But when you understand how contract jobs work with people getting kickbacks, things being "not in the budget", and rules changing when companies wanna act like they haven't been been creating a culture of two-face management trying improve "company standings" it makes you wanna just walk out.

I'm very fortunate to make as much as I do. I can't complain.

I live comfortably at the moment. But with the way things are going here economically at the moment, I can count myself very lucky for the time being. How bad is it up there? Because in the city the jobs that have been effected the most are the oil and gas jobs, jobs that work very close to that field, and the people who live here but work up north
