I expect Cousins is someone on the trading block when Durant decides what he is doing. I think the Kings need to cut and run, and they'd get a good haul back for a willing team. Say the Knicks, Golden State, hell the Spurs... or even a younger team that needs "That Dude" and isn't a complete management mess...
Time will tell but I don't see Cousins as a King much longer.
Celtics would probably be a solid fit. Free Agency scares me as a Sixers Fan. I would love to get some of these guys, but Celtics and Knicks look really hungry to try and get guys like Durant and Cousins...but hey maybe the Sixers would surprise me, I'd be fine with a trade for Cousins... problem is we'd probably have to give up Noel and Okafor and more for him... he might be worth it though, a player of his caliber with Simmons sounds real nice...

So I'm just catching up on that Ibaka trade. Yeah, anyone who had wishful thinking of Durant leaving to play on their team can probably wipe away those thoughts. At worst, I think he's going to sign a short term, 2-year contract.

That's exactly what he needs. His time at UK being so successful and stress free was not a coincidence. His high school time was tumultuous and he has been with the worst franchise in the NBA surrounded by dysfunction since 2010. In his one year at UK he had structure, he had a coach who he respected and that respected him, and he had stability. He flourished here and aside from one argument on the bench in one game he was a model citizen here. When things get bad in California he always comes back to Kentucky to meet with the old coaches here. You put him in a great environment with some real stability and he's going to be a great player in every sense. Sacramento is just cancerous for someone like him.

I agree that he moves sometime in the next year. I don't think the Knicks have the pieces. Especially after the Ibaka deal set a baseline. Very good young player + top 5 pick + by the standard set.

At worst, I think he's going to sign a short term, 2-year contract. Right? You have Sabonis/Kanter/Adams in the frontcourt, West/Oladipo in the backcourt. No one can really compete with that talent level. Except GS, but Durant doesn't seem like a guy who would want to piggyback on another team's success to a title.

I'm thrilled that Marcus Paige got drafted tonight. I think the Jazz can end up being a good fit for him. Paige is not the most talented player, but his determination and his three point shooting can really help any team he plays for.

Any thoughts on where the undrafted rogues gallery winds up? GP2 is probably gonna field offers, I'm interested in seeing where Mamadou Ndiaye goes. Could be a good inside presence for a team ala a (good) Roy Hibbert, if he has his mind right. Dude's 7'6, and as a wise man once said, you can't teach that.

Even if Durant doesn't return, a team with Westbrook, Sabonis, Oladipo, Adams, and Kanter is not only a playoff team but at the worst a second round team.
I'm gonna miss Ibaka cause I love the guy, but he had to go. His play was regressing too much for it to be logical to keep him with younger players who can take his role already on the team getting better and better.

After the dust has settled a bit I'm actually pretty happy with what Vlade Divac did for the Kings.
I'm not going to rueh to any judgment until free agency is over. If the Kings can pull some magic and trade Rudy Gay, Ben Mclemore, or Kosta Koufas for a decent pg i will be excited heading into next year.

At first I was all TORCHES AND PITCHFORKS, but I have stepped away from the ledge. Hopefully there's a part 2 to Vlade's madness.

If the guy we drafted for Brooklyn is halfway decent and stays healthy, they should be fine. But, as far as I'm concerned, the Pacers managed to get the better of 2 deals in the past 72 hours.

So the Bulls trade away their star player, who probably won't play much due to lingering knee issues. And then they draft a guy who's a good player, but also has lingering knee issues.
F*** sakes, Chicago.

The Celtics "supposedly wanted" Nerlens Noel and Philadelphia's future first-round pick from the Lakers in exchange for the 2016 No. 3 pick, a source told Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times.
