Really? His dad bought a sattelite dish in the 80's specifically so their house could pickup TBS for Jim Crockett/NWA, a Texas station so they could watch World Class, and ESPN so they could watch AWA. And he also watched the WWF. I'm sure John could rattle off Von Erich trivia in his sleep. No no no what are you doing? Stop perpetuating the myth that John Cena isn't terrible, we're supposed to hate him here. This is the internet, we don't like things. Him liking old wrestling does not mean his character is written well, his promos aren't lame or his matches aren't no psychology spot fests though

To be fair, Cena himself said he's more of a WWE guy than a general pro wrestling guy when he was on Jericho's podcast. That doesn't mean he can't have been a big wrestling fan growing up or anything like that, but I do get the impression that he'd have zero interest in going to another promotion if he and WWE ever parted ways.

Speaking of, I think a Cena Podcast would actually be pretty interesting.

I always wondered what would have happened if Cena went to TNA in say...2013. When they were still and Spike and before the mass exodus of talent. What would the difference be? Would the biggest name in wrestling be enough to get TNA to a 2.0? they had Jeff Hardy when he was one of the most over acts in the world and turned him into another guy that didn't do anything for their business. Cena would have been the same thing.

Cena comes off like a guy who very much drinks Vince's Kool-aid. When he's done with WWE he's almost definitely going to try and get into other things, but I can't see wrestling being one of them. He is the loyal WWE guy Vince wishes he could have had during the Monday Night Wars

Guys, Cena is gone for holydays, why not enjoying our "Cena free" time and not make 3 Cena threads a day? "Cena free" time is a very precious time of the years we should appreciate it more and make this forum "Cena Free" to.
Thanks

I'm sure John could rattle off Von Erich trivia in his sleep. Are we sure he doesn't actually do this already?
