Pretty much an entirely different show now, and I feel one that is totally lacking in it's own self-confidence.

New uniforms are sharp looking.

It's supposed to be about Burnham, Burnham, Burnham, and also Burnham... it's been pretty clear from the start. And the producers have stuck to it for better or worse.

Pretty much an entirely different show now, and I feel one that is totally lacking in it's own self-confidence. I was really underwhelmed by Season 3. It was a chance to settle in and find their own identity after 2 seasons drastically different in tone and quality, but it never quite clicked. Hopefully now that Burnham is Captain this show settles into some sort of long term groove

I like them. They look nifty. Same, reminiscent of TOS uniforms but modern and sleek. Honestly really loved season 3 a lot. Felt like it finally found a setting that suited the weird science stuff they started out with. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the explaination of the season mystery and Sarus's status at the end.

The one real problem I have with Discovery is its sense of scale relative to other Star Trek series. It made the Milky Way Galaxy feel a lot smaller than usual with stuff like the Mycelial Network and The Burn affecting things on a galactic scale. Star Trek's always worked on a much smaller scale recognizing just how big our galaxy is where things like the Bajoran Wormhole were complete rarities.

Considering I’d call the Star Trek TV revival run a C+, maybe B- creatively that’s a pretty Cherry deal. Disco is very hit and miss, Picard I mostly enjoyed but get why people didn’t, Lower Decks was pretty sweet tho

The money they make from selling the rights internationally not only justifies making the shows, it justifies Paramount+ existence. If I’m not mistaken, when it was CBS All Access the Star Trek deals covered enough that any US subscription to All Access was pure profit

I wish Discovery could find some kind of permanent identity, it's been three different shows each season.

The deal with Netflix for Discovery funded all three seasons (with the option of two more), while Amazon's deal for Picard covered all the expenses from that show, so when both shows drew massive subscription numbers in the US for CBS All Access they were Brave New Worlds sounds super promising, too, in that it is supposed to be closer to classic Trek than Disco or Picard, so that should be a big winner for them as well.

I’m really jacked for Brave New Worlds, season 2 of Disco is the best they’ve done so far in my opinion. And that’s mostly carried by an incredible performance by Anson Mount as Pike

Unbelievably likeable, and I really can't wait to see what he can do as the lead of his own show.

I really like who they cast for the Enterprise crew in Disco and presumably Strange New Worlds. Anson Mount in particular.
