The Australian summer of test cricket starts tomorrow morning with the Brisbane test. This summer sees 3 tests each against New Zealand & The West Indies.
India & South Africa start a test series in Mohali tomorrow as well.
England & Pakistan are also in the middle of a series in The UAE. And The Windies are in Sri Lanka.
Alot of the talk recently has been surrounding the pink ball that will be used in the first day/night test coming up in Adelaide.

Big first day for Australia 2/389 at stumps. Warner with his 13th test century, Khawaja with his first. NZ will have to bowl a heck of a lot better tomorrow if they want to stay in the contest.
India bowled out on day 1 in Mohali for 201. Opener Murali Vijay (75) the only Indian player to pass 40. Somewhat surprisingly it was Dean Elgar with 4 wickets the stand out bowler. South Africa have already lost an early wicket in reply.
England lose the 3rd test in Sharjah after being on top of Pakistan after day 2. Terrible batting collapse in their 2nd innings had them at 6/59.

I was in cricketing heaven yesterday morning. On Sky Sports 1 the Australia/New Zealand game was on, Sky Sports 2 had the Pakistan/England game and Sky Sports 3 was showing India/South Africa. It was like the perfect tv schedule.
Shame England's inability to build an innings or play spin bowling spoiled my enjoyment.

Very much Australia's day again on day 2. NZ trailing by 399 runs with only 5 wickets in hand. Will take a huge rearguard batting effort to avoid the follow on.
In Mohali India are on top, Ravi Ashwin with 5 first innings wickets to help bowl South Africa out for under 200. No surprise that AB DeVilliers was the only RSA batsmen to pass 50. Although Hashim Amla was out due to one of the most unusual stumpings ever seen. India 1/48 in their 2nd innings (a lead of 62).

The ass-whupping continues into match two. After winning the first, Australia are running away with it again on the opening day, with Warner getting a career-best score over 200 (ongoing as of this post).
EDIT: 253 he ended up on.

New Zealand have fought back and could arguably be on top in the match now with another century for Williamson, and Taylor reaching a career-best score of over 230 (the highest ever by a New Zealander against Australia, or in Australia).

Every man & his dog is criticizing the pitch (rightly in my opinion). What ever happened to an even contest between bat & ball?

Bloody hell, Ross Taylor... This is a monster of an innings here. Now he has the highest score ever by a New Zealander outside of New Zealand with 283 not out.
Might run out of partners before he reaches 1st or 2nd place on their all-time list, though.

Taylor gets out on 290 to end the innings, 12 short of Brendon McCullum's national record of 302.

Amazing from Ross Taylor, if you had told me he would score 290 after the way he played in the 1st innings in Brisbane I would have had you tested for drugs!
India right in top against South Africa, if only they could get on the field!

And the second Australia v New Zealand match ends in a draw.
Also ending is the international career of Australian bowler Mitchell Johnson, who announced his immediate retirement following this match before the start of the day's play. He ends with Test stats of 313 wickets from 73 matches (4th highest-ranked Australian of all time behind Warne, McGrath and Lillee, 25th highest-ranked all nations).
