Who's surprised that Triple H's ego can go this far? No, keep your hands up so I can count.

The "plan" went from Triple H vs. Rock to Seth Rollins vs. Triple H... The first plan seemed to rely on Ronda Rousey's involvement based on this years Mania angle. I'm assuming we were going to get Brock vs. Rock II with Triple H locked on Seth? If Rock is even going to work WM this year at all.

Rather than dwelling on a silly Wrestlemania main event (assuming it was actually planned. I still don't take this stuff as gospel), how about you all just be happy that it isn't happening at all? I'm not happy that it took Seth getting injured for it not to happen.

Well thank Christ that ain't gonna happen now.
I wish Triple H would just retire. The dude is such a mark that he must believe the crowd would love this.

Triple H has won like, one match in years You sure about that? Since he took on his current role/gimmick 4 years ago: Beat Punk at Night of Champions 2011 Beat Nash at Vengeance 2011 Beat Lesnar at WM29 Beat Sting at WM31 Has he lost some? Yes, but let's not pretend he hasn't put himself over either. And even when he does lose, he always positions himself against the biggest commodity at the time, and makes himself the ultimate man to defeat.

A babyface HHH winning The Rumble getting the 2014 Batista/2015 Roman Reigns reaction from the crowd would be the funniest thing ever. Even funnier than the "You Tapped Out" chants he received in SummerSlam that caught him by surprise during his big emotional moment

Triple H/Reigns is the only acceptable answer for WM that I'll take considering I know he won't be dumb enough to go over Reigns.
If he does then it brings more fans to Roman.

We sure the WWE is better in HHH hands Honestly, yes. Even at the most cartoonishly inflated caricature of "Triple H, Destroyer of Worlds", it'd be better than what we've got now. Triple H siphoning the momentum of anyone who gets hot implies that somebody is picking up momentum instead of trying to run underwater.

When Triple H is on he's one of my favorite wrestlers ever but man is he a hard guy to read. How is NXT Poppa Bear Triple H the same guy who dropped an anvil on CM Punk? How does he let a guy like Seth Rollins go this long as a Triple H wannabe and then go on to (allegedly) seal his fate as a "lesser than" at Wrestlemania? It's weird how he can sometimes be completely selfless and great like the Evolution/Shield feud but then also be so destructive like neutering Brock Lesnar. Or be pretty much both things during the Daniel Bryan feud.

I believe that if triple h is behind the scenes and does not get involved as an onscreen character that he can be an asset to the company and the talent.
That being said, I won't give the WWE any money or buy the network until he and stephanie are off tv for good because they offer nothing positive to those around them.

As much as we joke about out of touch Vincent, in what world does Hunter live that he thinks he can still get over as a baby face?

If they thought that Batista and Reigns got shit on by the fans, just imagine what HHH winning would do. Literal, nuclear heat.

I wonder if the disappointed, butthurt, hostile post rumble fan base has become such an injoke with Vince/HHH and their circle that they now plan to outdo themselves every year for the laugh before hastily rebooking the mania card to redeem themselves.

I believe this could've happened, I don't believe the belt would've been involved.
Given the haphazard way plans change practically every month, I can't get too heated on something that didn't actually go ahead.

Well, basically 28, 29, 30, and 31 all had their main event plans set in stone very, very far in advance, and the only things that changed were 30's after massive backlash and 31's having the idea of Reigns winning being dropped. I don't think it's that hard to believe they'd already have settled on something for Mania this year when they have for the past few.

Now i'm even more upset at Seth. This would have been the greatest thing ever. Mainly to see the reaction from all the HHHaters

Oh and HHH would get an absolute monster pop for turning face and winning the rumble.

I'm sorry, but I feel like Meltzer might have been fed a line of BS here. I mean, we know HHH has a huge ego, but even he would have to see how god awful an idea that would be. Not to mention that it follows the same fairy tale horror story we've seen with Triple H time and time again. Evolution lost every match with the Shield, with the exception of Seth getting counted out against Batista after a failed dive, Triple H has won like, one match in years I can even remember, and that was with him losing every single encounter with Brock outside of one, in which it was painted as basically a fluke. Triple H has an ego, but I think people can let their hate boner for the guy cloud their perception sometimes. This. I also find the timing of this to be incredibly suspect. There's absolutely no way to prove either way if this is in the slightest bit true or not.
