Can we ban the term 'moral victories' please? How did they play or how was Nillson? Was it a soft goal he let in or a bad turnover caused it? Nilsson was REALLY solid. They just got caught running around/a bit sloppy in their own end and got caught.

So a few friends and I are planning on spending American Thanksgiving weekend in Montreal, mostly to hit up Devils/Habs on Saturday night.
Now, I've seen Devils/Leafs at Air Canada Centre, but anybody have any suggestions for a solid game night experience? I'll be wearing my Brodeur jersey as a way of saying "Hey, I'm part Quebecois, myself!".

Couple of bad games in Calgary and Edmonton, but at least the Devils were able to salvage the trip in Vancouver. Schneider plays really well against his former team.

Unsurprisingly, the Hurricanes really suck this year.
But, at least my Fuel are doing good and have been entertaining.

Yak gets tangled with a linesman and goes down. He finally gets a point sans McDavid and this happens.

HERE COME THE OILERSSSSS! What's your reports on them this game Even without the Yak injury, they got outplayed in the second, hemmed in their own zone, poor defensive decisions/coverage, Nilsson has been bad tonight. VINTAGE OILERS HOCKEY!

Mark Fayne should never try to pinch again. It's like Flair going to the top rope, it never works.

One of our biggest goalie prospects in a while, Juuse Saros, has been really solid for Nashville thus far in his debut.

In traditional Oiler fashion, they gave up a shutout to a kid making his NHL debut last night.

As much as it pains me to say it but the oilers may need to trade Eberle or Yakupov for a dominant western conference defenseman. Or offer a shit ton of money to Dustin Byufglin next year

Or offer a shit ton of money to Dustin Byufglin next year I'd make the argument that while they appear better in some ways, they're still making A LOT of the same mistakes, and the overall consistency from game to game just isn't there yet. I'd agree about the need to trade Eberle and Yakupov(more so Yak than Ebs) but the problem is their value is in the toilet(and Yak is injured)

Yeah, the time to sell on both of those guys was last year. Eberle's value specifically is atrocious right now. They're not going to be able to get a dominant defenseman for either. The irony is that those guys would probably bring a return in the.....wait for it.....Jeff Petry range, or slightly above. I know my Blues might not be able to pony up the money for Shattenkirk, which is a concern. But neither of those guys are worth him.
Speaking of, I went to the game tonight and Jagr's mullet beat us. That guy still gets in front of guys. It's crazy. We played like ass, and Allen got the hook after 2 periods. I just don't know about him. I think he can be the guy, but sometimes he looks like he's just a younger Elliot who looks better from the system/talent in front of him.

Eberle is a notorious slow starter. Plus everyone over values everyone's value so you're right in the sense. Plus giving up top value defensemen have the highest price in trading. Forwards have the lowest

Forwards have the lowest He is a slow starter historically, which is why it took so long for me to jump ship fantasy-wise. But 0 assists through 12 games and the injury are big hits to his stock right now. Then again, there is still plenty of time before they hypothetically deal him this year. That Draisatil breakout is a hit to his numbers though. Gotta wonder if they'll shake up the lines to try and help Eberle's stock before shipping him out of town. Wouldn't be the worst move.
