The Giants know a thing or two about undefeated streaks. Ask the 98 Broncos and the 07 Pats. Or would they rest their starters and voluntarily forgo perfection (a la the 2009 Colts)? If they do pull their starters, it would be to the Bucs and the Falcons. It seemed to work out for the Colts, they went on to win the super bowl that year.

No. They'll rest their stars before the playoffs and they'll get caught by another team with their second string playing. Seems to always happen in these situations. People will get angry at them for not wanting to chase history but, they've all but wrapped up home field advantage and are running away with their division. There's nothing else to play for and they won't risk their stars for something that won't mean anything if they don't win the Super Bowl.

If they get pst the Giants, then yeah.
They jut sodomized Atlanta, and will do so again in 2 weeks. I don't think the Bucs have enoguh to knock them off

Giants will add another unbeaten to their list. You're team is chasing a wild card birth....why do you care about ours so much?

Being a Vikings fan, I need the Panthers to go 16-0. If MN loses every game until the playoffs, they still have a chance to get the wild card, that is if the Panthers wins against The Giants, The Falcons and The Bucs. If the Panthers lose one of the three games and Vikings lose all 3 of their next games, then Vikings will be out of the playoff picture.

Maybe. I can't see them winning the Super Bowl though.

Calling it now- If the Giants get past Carolina, they will find a way to lose the division.

As a Dolphins fan I think (and hope) it goes this weekend.
Being the only perfect team ever is my only source of comfort amid the ineptitude and mediocrity of the franchise. If that goes Miami has nothing left. Hell, I'll even be cheering for the Patriots if it comes down to those two in the Superbowl with Carolina still unbeaten!

You would still have Dan Marino's records.

People remember the 16-0 regular season Pats more than they remember a random ass team that went 14-2 and won the Super Bowl. Plus, they already have a bye week before their first playoff game. Giving that much time off to your players can easily backfire.

Speaking of resting the starters, the Giants played all of their starters in the last 2007 game against the Pats, despite being locked into the fifth seed; Coughlin said that it would give their team momentum heading into the playoffs.

As long as Cam Newton keeps hitting the dap, they'll keep winning. Guess who's still hitting the dap? Guess who's still undefeated, daddy?

Atlanta beats Carolina next week.
After that cocky embarrassing display of taking that team photo when the game was still going on... Falcons are gonna put the Panthers in their place.

I guess if they looked sexier winning people would take then more serious (of give them more credit for having the record they do now). Meanwhile Seattle is running on all cylinders, I'm assuming a rested Lynch is back for the playoffs and Wilson is every bit as string as Newton right now.
Arizona also just has so many weapons on both sides of the ball.
