Eddie's a really good looking guy who puts on great matches. Not a bad person to have in your company's main event scene. But sadly, he has the personality of beige paint, which makes him a bad person to have in your company's man event scene.

Edwards offers almost nothing when it comes to charisma or even microphone ability. Great wrestler and a decent looking guy but he seems destined to be a midcarder or to remain as one half of The Wolves. EC3 is TNA's guy with the most potential to be a "star" although I don't see TNA having a future for all that much longer. Knowing TNA, however, I'm expecting EC3 to be reduced to "just another guy on the roster" within a year. If TNA lasts that long.

In a wrasslin, every wrassler has these options: Great Appearance Great Personality Great Wrestler Pretty much everyone on a nation stage to step between those ropes gets one option. Main event players get two. Flagship players have all three. Edwards has two with sparks of a third on occasion. Put him against someone who has all three, or two with the one option he doesn't have, and you have a main event scene.

Well, JBL used to call Matt a world champion ready to happen. So much for that run, except they don't even recognize TNAs main title as a actual title anymore so...yeah...never happened

I think you need two of these three in the following order (Just to word your three differently): 1. Charisma 2. Look 3. Wrestling ability Eddie Edwards has one in my opinion. He's a decent looking dude but if you put him on a poster the girls aren't going to start drooling. He also isn't really a body guy (Which fits his style) and generally to tick "the look" box you need to look bigger than the average dude. He's a great wrestler but his lack of charisma is what hurts him most.

He is pretty much the next Malenko, I mean even Benoit got to show some charisma when he was WHC.

of course not, otherwise he would have been in group "Futures" not group "tag team specialists".

Dean did seem to show some personality in WWE, but I think buy then past injuries meant he might have just been aware his time was dwindling in-ring, and he just was cutting loose, agreeing to the James Bond womanizer sorta gimmick and all that. I wonder what it'd take to get Eddie to loosen up and be less Davey Jr.

I don't think I want to live in a world where Eddie Edwards is "The Guy".

with their current trajectory no one is the future of TNA. Abyss, in name only.

He could had a future in WWE either wrestling the Hype Bros and Vaudevillians in NXT or losing to Heath Slater on Superstars if not for Davey turning into Mr GMSI during their WWE tryout. That's a better future than what he got with TNA.
