I am a big believer that to be a catch you have to hold onto the ball. I would hate for any rule that made what Odell Beckham did a catch. To be a catch he should have to hold onto the ball. I do not think that is to much to ask at all. The rules are all ready so heavily slanted towards the offense that making it so brief contact without full control a catch would be something I would hate to see in the game. I'm not saying this as a Patriots fan, I'm saying it as a football fan: that wasn't a catch, just like the Dez Bryant play in Green Bay wasn't a catch. It's not asking a lot, you need to control the ball and possess it the whole way through the process. It's pretty simple: don't let the football hit the ground until you're spiking it in celebration. Beckham has no one to blame but himself for not holding onto the ball when Malcolm Butler was swatting at it. With the shit I've heard and seen from Supergirl you're better off with Gotham... the commercials that I've seen make Supergirl seem like the most wooden actress outside of that one chick in the Pinnochio porn. I damn near fell off of my sofa today when I saw a commercial this evening and she said something to a villain along the lines of, "Ugh, you're such a MEAN GIRL." I was just like, "holy s***, if this is what they're advertising as a way to attract me to watch this show, I'd hate to see what the other 29 minutes and 55 seconds are like."

Give me 1980s/1990s NFL over today's NFL. When refs were refs. And the play was high-quality. AND WE KNEW WHEN A CATCH WAS A CATCH
Apparently, you have to possess the ball, going to the ground, order a bottle of Pepsi, and control the clock for it to be a catch.

I usually just go for the eye test. If they have reasonable control of the ball, not juggling it before they hit the ground, it is a catch.

As I said earlier, Supergirl had a disasterous ratings drop from the first week to the second. If that commercial was anything to go by, it's real easy to see why...

I'm gonna say this to people who still think the Seahawks can make a run in the playoffs.
You sure you want to stay on that hill?

45 seconds after incompletion, refs throw the flag for grounding.

Waiting on the refs to penalize Arizona for throwing trash on the field just now.

Amazing. Get the sack and fumble but too busy celebrating and cost your team a TD.

Why is this taking so long? Clearly a fumble and down by contact.
