I've long held the belief that the Patriots-Ravens game from 2012, the final weekend of the replacement referee debacle - was the worst officiated pro football game I've ever seen. Sure, the "Fail Mary" game the following night included the worst single call and was the impetus for the end of the referee lockout, but the game the night before was an insult to football fans in New England, Baltimore, and around the country. I'd say that the worst call of all time was the cancellation of that pick of manning by Polamalu in that playoff game was much worse since it was overturned on the review when it was so obviously a pick that even this Colts fan was offended at the call.

The officiating in the 2005 postseason was all-around dreadful. Pittsburgh almost got screwed out of the win against Indy, and then Pittsburgh reaped the benefits of questionable officiating in the Super Bowl against Seattle. It's almost as if bad officiating goes in cycles, where it won't be too obvious for a while, and then there's a spate of incidents over a short span of time.
