Some stuff from maybe the best SS. Summerslam 2002 is my favorite Summerslam, they had a stacked card from top to bottom and the normally quiet L.I crowd was hot that night. |

Summerslam 2002 is my favorite Summerslam, they had a stacked card from top to bottom and the normally quiet L.I crowd was hot that night. Yeah. Even the 2 weaker matches were passable. Benoit/RVD never gets enough credit for how much a beautiful match it was. It was a masterpiece that on any other show would have been high end match of the night candidate. But due to all the owning by Angle/Rey, Edge/Eddie, HBK/HHH, Rock/Brock, a really good big man match in Test/Taker and a really good tag title match it never gets enough credit for how spectacular it was. Even pre Benoit tragedy it felt like no one would ever appreciate how amazing RVD/Benoit is at SS2002 due to the other classics that happened that night |
