Gronk has a Bruised Knee and is considered Week to Week. I expect he'll at least sit out the Eagles Game (Where he probably wont be needed with how the Eagles Defense has looked the last two games) All in all though, HUGE crisis averted for any Patriots Fans. I can stop carving "BROOKS WAS HERE" on the ceiling. According to Adam Schefter, Gronkowski will not play against the Eagles Sunday and may miss "multiple weeks". And while that's a vague term that could mean as few as two weeks, fortunately for the Patriots, their next three games are at home against Philadelphia, on the road in Houston, and back home against Tennessee, and with or without Rob Gronkowski, those are three games the Patriots should win. The most impactful aspect of last night's loss, aside from Gronkowski's injury, is that it removes the safety net for the Patriots. A win would have all but buried the Broncos' chances of home-field advantage through the AFC playoffs. By virtue of the loss, the Patriots lead in the conference is now one game over both Denver and Cincinnati. And while one of those two teams has to lose a game, since they play each other in week 16, that leaves the Patriots with little room for error. They don't necessarily need to finish 15-1 to wrap up home-field advantage, but even one loss could make that week 17 game against the Dolphins matter. Ideally, that's a tune-up game for the Patriots, where they play their starters for a series or two (or not at all), then bring in the reserves for the game's final 50 or so minutes.

I posted this in the Week 12 thread, but I thought I'd put it here as well. {Spoiler} "Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman. And I am the one behind the one in 13-1. Now, some of you may be asking, "But Paul, the Patriots only won ten games before losing to the Broncos, and my client, BRRRRRRROOOOOOCK OSWEILER!!!!" And you would be correct, in assuming that I'm speaking about just this season alone." "You see, the Patriots had a winning streak going all the way back to the postseason last year. They won all 3 playoff games, including Super Bowl XLIX. So, in retrospect, the Patriots were 13-0 before they faced up against my client, BRRRRRRRROOOCK OSWEILER!!!" "And I know some of you are saying, "But Paul, the Patriots went 2-2 in the preseason. How does that work?" And to that, I have a very simple answer: Nobody counts the preseason, you moron. Nobody cares about the preseason. If they did, the Lions would be 4-16 in 2008 instead of the infamous 0-16." "But I'm getting offtrack. I'm here to state that my client, BRRRRRRRROCK OSWEILER, CONQUERED THE UNDEFEATED STREAK OF THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS!!!!"

Vikings might be my current NFC pick. The Panthers are undefeated but they've got most of their wins against the AFC South(which is some shit), the NFC East(which is worse than shit), and the NFC South(which is mediocre at best), combine that with some wins versus a Seattle team that isn't what it once was, and a Packers team that seems to be pretty pedestrian and I'm not sold on them at all. It won't surprise me if they're legit and go deep, but it also won't surprise me if they are one and done in the playoffs. It's hard to say against that wack-assed schedule. That's almost the easiest schedule in history.

Remember when Goodell called Mariota 'Marcus Marioto' at the draft?

Shocking to no one, NFL has flexed out Week 14 Seahawks-Ravens game on Sunday Night.
Pats-Texans will be the new Week 14 SNF headliner.
Now the question is will they have the guts to flex out the Steelers-Ravens game Week 16? Big rivalry yes, but will mean complete jack by then.

I am surprised they chose NE-HOU over ATL-CAR. Unless they're telling me FOX protected that game over DAL-GB, which I don't believe for a second.

According to NFLN, McCown has a "collarbone injury" and the Browns are waiting to decide his future. Looks like it will be now or never for Johnny in Cleveland.

Looks like I am up Shit Creek with a turd for a paddle. Was going to go to that game, but since it is moved to night, getting back for work Monday morning will be too hard.

I really wish they'd cap the number of games a team can play at night during the regular season at like, 3 or 4. The Patriots will have played in 6 prime time games by seasons end. Ridiculous.

Though I would have flexed Panthers-Falcons if I had the choice.

NFL is actually punishing a ref crew this week. The crew from Cards/Niners lost their prime time gig and is waiting a new assignment.

They've been moved to the Prime 4:25 afternoon game (Pats/Eagles) Real punishment would be NOT having them work at all this weekend, which would be best given that they have a history of ridiculous calls and buffoonery

Seriously, the more I think about the situtation with the refs, the angrier I get.
If Goodell and co are so worried about "the integrity of the game" and all that jazz, then they should be tripping over themselves to correct what is becoming a massive problem
