Personal Overall Quality Rating: A++++**** Fulfilled a lifelong (well from about 6 years old onwards. It is as far back as I remember being a fan, my mum told me I started to watch WCW/WWF when I was 6 so I take her word for it. I am now 24) dream of going to Wrestlemaania. But not only going to Wrestlemania, but being at Wrestlemania front row, on the best travel package money can buy, meeting HHH/Bryan/AJ/Barrett/Russev/Flair/Slaughter/Cesaro and Kidd among others (including bumping into John Cena Sr after Raw ended, an amazingly friendly guy), seeing HOF/NXT/Raw and going to a very classy winery with the rest of the people on the California Dreamin package to meet Flair/Slaughter. All in my first ever holiday properly alone, without having any friends or family to meet at the other side or go with. Best 9 days of my life, bar none (I also did 5 days of sightseeing in San Francisco during the week before the WM weekend began). And that includes my graduations, last day of high school, proms etc, all memories that I view very highly, but pale in comparison to that holiday. I am now finishing my wrestling year off by seeing my first ever PROGRESS show, and by virtue my first ever Zack Sabre Jr and Will Ospreay matches live, two guys that I am a massive mark for, this Sunday for their first ever Manchester show. Then next Saturday I go and see my second ever NXT show, which takes place in Sheffield. So to say I am ending the year very strongly wrestling show wise would be an understatement Overall Enjoyment of Wrestling A+ Love PWG, NXT, LU, PROGRESS, Rev Pro, NJPW all fulfilling my need for quality wrestling. I am incredibly proud of how my home country of the UKs wrestling scene has blown up worldwide and is creating an incredibly strong roster of future stars (even more so than what they are already), it truly is a new era, and it seems cool again in some capacity that shows are selling out and really creating a following again over here like some decades ago. The stars more than hold their own with indy stars in the other country and there is an endless list of talented standout major players to look out for in the few years from here (ZSJ, Ospreay, Havoc, Andrews, Haskins, Mastiff, Scurll, Flash Morgan Webster to name but a few) WWEs quality has slowly decended over this past year. They started out very strongly, but veered way off course by autumn as far as quality goes. Still many classic matches from Reigns/Lesnar, Lesnar/Rollins/Cena etc that have happened on the main roster but man do they need to pick up their storytelling and creating new stars game in 2016. Hopefully with stars making their returns and coming in fresh in 2016 it will really get them back on track quality wise. Wrestling goal of 2016 Travel across the pond again for wrestling, but this time for PWG, more specifically all three nights of BOLA. It's the next on my bucket list and I can't wait to see it live, whether it is 2016 or 17 I will be there. If I save up enough to see ROH (and knock that off the list as well) and a WWE show while I am there, then that is just gravy.

Discovered Lucha Underground, but watched about a combined hour of WWE.
I'd give it a C-.

I'll say C. I definitely have less juice for it than I ever have, in part because life gets busier as I get older and in part because my once primary source of wrestling is so bad I can't keep going. I watch maybe one half episode of RAW a month at best, I've never watched less WWE TV than I do now, it's really sad, the knack they've developed for constant disappointment. There was always a glimmer of hope in there somewhere but now things just seem so dire, it's sad but it's also kind of fascinating how the one company that lived to see so many companies die, have produced documentaries listing the failures of other companies, making the exact same mistakes and not knowing any better.
I love ROH and NXT though, Lucha Underground sounds awesome but I don't have access to it. It upsets me sometimes, the fact that I think wrestling today is lacking in psychology in a lot of ways in favor of workrate and I hope the wrestling industry collectively rediscovers it down the line.

On an A to F scale, probably a C.
It has been a tough year to rate. The shear amount of first run WWE programming right now really hurts their product. 5 hours of Raw and Smackdown plus 1 hour of NXT is just too much for me to follow every week. I usually don't get Raw finished until Thursday or Friday. I am constantly 2 to 3 weeks behind on NXT. I haven't had time to watch Smackdown since the summer. Not to mention monthly PPV's and any other first run content on the WWE Network.
The problem with all this programming is that you have to wade through the bad stuff to get to the good stuff. By time the main event of Raw occurs, I'm looking forward more to just being done with it than I am the actual match. There have been good stuff happen this year, it just gets completely lost because it is surrounded by things that can almost just be considered filler.
I can't really comment on TNA, ROH, or Lucha Underground because I just haven't had time to go out of my way to find a way watch it (I don't have satellite or cable).
I really hope that one, or all, of the companies listed above could get onto Netflix or Hulu.

I gave up totally on WWE a week or so after WM this year. Watching Raw,even though I DVRed it and FFed thru the parts that I didn't want to see,was feeling like a chore.
Thankfully Dish added El Rey. Then not long after that thanks to ROH being added to DA I could watch it on my tv and not my computer. NJPW on AXS is fun. And I was loving Paragon Pro on POP.
Then it crashed down right before Thanksgiving. ROH left DA,Paragon Pro left POP.
As for live shows hit
2 Powerslam shows, free one in Liberty then recently a fund raiser show in Meadville. Both fun shows and ended up recording both shows. 3 NWA Bayou Independent shows, all in my town.Met Ted Dibiase at the last one. So now I have met every wrestling Dibiase besides Mike. 1 VIP Wrestling show in TX. Got invited out to help out. Filmed a few matches with my personal camera and helped out on commentary. 1 Championship Wrestling show. Was in Lula MS. Met Jerry Lawler,Bill Dundee,Jimmy Valiant and his son Gary Valiant and Tracy SMothers. Did video work and commentary for them.
So live it was great. And until I lost ROH and Paragon pro TV wrestling was great.

Solid A I would say 2015 was probably the best wrestling year for me personally. NXT lighting the world on fire helped ease the stress of WWE sucking a lot of ass this year. I started reading about and watching more and more of the two indys I already focused on before, Chikara and ROH. And I started branching out more and started focusing on other promotions like EVOLVE, LU, PWG and NJPW. The fact that Indy wrestling has never been more accessible than it is now makes me so very happy. If I had this kind of Wrestling when I was in high school then I never would have graduated. As far as live shows I have been to more this year then the last few years combined. January saw a road trip to Philly for a double shot day of Chikara and the Royal Rumble and scratching "Go to the ECW arena" off my bucket list. It would have included ROH the night before but that damn snow storm... After that there was a summer road trip to Brooklyn to see ROH's Field of Honor. The show was great and it was exciting to see the NJPW guys. p.s. www.rohwrestling.com/tv/current has ROH tv for free and updated every week. Then in September I moved to Chicago and in just a few months have seen 2 AAW shows, 1 Freelance Wrestling show, 1 Chikara show and felt good about skipping RAW when they were in town. I've also had the chance to see Colt Cabana and Marty DeRosa do commentary over bad wrestling which was hilarious. Also, I got to meet CM Punk and tell him I am a big fan of him as both a perfomer and a person. So that was awesome. Looking forward to 2016!

TNA lost me, although I will give them a chance on Pop. ROH completely lost me, really boring. I watch it every week and just don't really know why. Loved NXT, went to two live NXT shows, REALLY got into it heavy after the Brooklyn show, but then the crowd in Orlando made it hard for me to watch. Started enjoying WWE again for a few weeks and then it got VERY boring. Just insultingly boring. Couldn't get into Lucha Underground, it felt too produced the TelaNovela stuff and fake lizard tongues just lost me.
4 out of 10.

Lucha Underground has been unbelievable, and my hometown has an indy that's managed to last more than one show.
WwE's been lackluster, but I've seen it at worse points.

First off Dusty and Roddy are gone. That hurts. As do all the deaths. Hulk Hogan and Jimmy snuka.
Secondly, wwe. It's been plagued with injuries all year long and creative is lacking. Especially safe booking doesn't do much to help the depleted roster.
Positives: Wwe still knows how to produce a topoftheline ppv, even without the build wm31 and Brooklyn accomplished that. Bayley and the rest of nxt make me want to watch. Good solid characters that you can also find on the main roster.
Negative: bad booking decisions and an overload of the product. I watched the last ppv and 1 RAW live that I can remember. The raw had Charlotte's momentum killed by not breaking the record run of Nikki and last ppv was forgettable in every way. nxt also has problems looking past the top 4 singles, top 2 females and top 1 tag team.
Outside of wwe I saw my njpw hype die down with the glass ceiling becoming very visible. Especially seeing KUSHIDA treated badly got me down. Its a shame becuase it has the potential to br so much more.
TNA: they vacated the world belt 1 day after BOUND FOR GLORY.
LU has really found a new way to present its product that works. It takes the unbelievability of pro wrestling and takes it to 11. The dark atmosphere brings it to you.
CHIKARA has me interested for the first time since its rebirth. 2015 was a year for Jervis cottonbelly and the Devastation Corporation to name a few. Plus the various changes to old gimmicks make it fun again. Also the new champ is great to see and is SO DEAD in a " how are they going to get out of this?" Sense
My efed that I run with my friend kept me hyped about this business and Wrestling Universe was loads of fun as was the forum games by Brad. 2K16 was a big improvement over 2k15. And newlegacy is still awesome.
Overall I give it 83%. Mostly down because of WWE and TNA but I don't watch those as much so not too down.

You have to be quick to get those PWG or Lucha Underground tickets here in Los Angeles so sadly no live wrestling for me in 2015.Hopefully, NXT comes to town cause I'm a big fan of them too. In my 22 years as a fan, I've experienced a lot and seen many favorites live so honestly there aren't that many things left to cross off the wrestling bucket list. But I'm happy you had an awesome year OP 2016 already starting better... Finally got tickets to Lucha Underground! Jan. 9th!

WWE-wise: D+ Everything else: A I've gone to more wrestling shows this year than any other year combined. I've been very fortunate to attend the first Stardom USA show, NXT San Jose, 5 PWG shows (Including Nights 2/3 of BOLA) and 3 Lucha Underground tapings (Potentially 5 if I'm confirmed for the December shows). I also discovered the secret world that is UK indie wrestling and started to watch ROH more. I didn't delve into NJPW like I promised myself I would, but 2015 was when I broadened my wrestling horizons I'm also going to my first ROH show in February for the anniversary, so 2016 is already starting off at a B+ Brief update: The final count ended up being 6 PWG shows, 5 Lucha Underground tapings, and attending a commercial shoot for Lucha Underground with the City of Los Angeles (Included an hour of watching Mundo/Puma matches and getting pictures with them after). If my 14 day excursion of attending Lucha Underground, NXT San Jose, and PWG Don't Sweat the Technique wasn't enough; December 12/13 saw me attend both Lucha Underground tapings (Best I've been to so far) and Night 2 of PWG All Star Weekend in between. I couldn't ask for a better end to the wrestling year

Awful. The slow death of TNA and WWE being a huge disappointment are pushing me to the point that I'm about to quit watching wrestling...again. I stopped watching before around the time WCW folded and it took some years for me to come back. If it wasn't for NXT I'd probably have quit by now.
Rating: 1.5/10 (would be zero if NXT would not exist)

This was the year in which I generally got burnt out on most wrestling as a whole, outside of TNA schadenfreude.
I don't *hate* WWE's product, but as of now there's nothing that really interests me. From what I've seen some of the new talent is really impressive- Bayley, Sasha Banks and Neville among others. And while I don't think he's going to be the big world-beating box office draw the company wants him to be, what I've seen of Reigns in 2015 convinces me he's far better than people give him credit for.
But the storylines as a whole still haven't gotten out of that "handful of scrappy renegades vs. evil authority figures" archetype. Steph and HHH are fantastic performers; it's just that I've seen that setup too many times. I could even deal with them looking dominant if they would just do something different with the whole thing, some sort of fresh twist.
Also, the frequently, almost willfully negative attitude of the fanbase bothers me a lot. I understand wanting to see the product get better or your favorites to receive better pushes, but everything I've come across as of late- including here, in the WWE Current section- feels like anger for the sake of it. At least with TNA they're so incompetent you can't help but laugh at their antics, but with WWE there's so much venom, bitterness and ugly comments among the very same people who pay for the network. It's not even a "why u no like Cena" or "cheer faces dammit" thing with me, I legit do not understand one wanting to follow a TV show that makes them so upset week after week, for whatever reason.
And unfortunately, that bitterness has become a major turn-off for me. As tedious as I find most modern wrestling now, trying to discuss it with fans is even worse. To an extent I do understand it- there's so much cynicism, disappointment and burnout over letdown angles, unwanted pushes, wrestler deaths and scandals, and even things fans consider bright spots like NXT and New Day have an undercurrent of fear in their discussions that they'll eventually be "ruined" by micromanagement.
But even though I understand where the frustration is coming from, it's not fun or healthy for me to wade through page after page of how the newest young star is somehow having his career derailed after he took one loss to this top guy, or because something said such-and-such to him in a promo and he didn't respond.
So...I dunno. I haven't watched more than 3 minutes worth of Raw this year, I've just cherry-picked a few matches from NXT and various shows I thought were good (Cena/Rollins/Lesnar was the shit). I do like some of ROH's guys. Nakamura was awesome in his appearances, Moose is bad-ass and Sexton Hardcastle is a lot of fun, but even that I don't feel compelled to watch weekly. Other than that, pro wrestling as a whole just makes me sad these days.

By far the most toxic section on the board. Everyone is angry as f*** for no reason. They're literally addicted to watching crummy TV and whining about it online, even though I think it's been a great year for wrestling outside the WWE banner overall and there has been no better time to broaden horizons. Wrestling isn't bad at all. People get so caught up in the WWE and think it's all there is when that's just not the case. I don't get why people waste time hate-watching trash when there's legitimately great, super enjoyable stuff out there. On US TV alone there's stuff like Lucha Underground, NJPW on AXS, and ROH.

And since then have seen maybe 30 minutes worth of their stuff.Between ROH,LU,NJPW and Paragon pro I got plenty of wrestling I enjoy on weekly tv. Then add in all the indies I watch locally and on DVD I have my fill of good wrestling. Seems to me lots of the people that hate watch Raw are either life long WWF fans or people that got into it during the Attitude era. Now they might have more free time than I do,but I don't have enough free time to spend 3 hours a week watching something I do not like.

Chikara, ROH, and Dragon Gate combined to keep my interest afloat after I dropped WWE right around MITB. TNA, well, they're always good for a laugh around here, but I can't pretend I've even sat through a full show all year.

There's a lot bad about wwe but Seth Rollins from just a wrestling aspect was fantastic.I wish Kevin Owens was in a better spot but he's still entertaining. While the Stephanie McMahon presents the Divas revolution has been crap I've enjoy the nxt women's division matches. She gets a lot of flack but Nikki Bella is the best Female on the main roster & the only good divas relvolution matches are because of her.
The wwe network is fantastic. If I could go back & tell child me that for less than 10 bucks you'd get every ppv ever he wouldn't believe it mostly because he doesn't talk to strangers.
I saw a lot of great stuff from roh & pwg and some good new Japan.

Both Lucha Underground and NXT have rekindled my love for wrestling over the past year. ROH is okay, and I enjoy NJPW when it has English commentary. However, TNA lost me years ago, and sadly this was one of WWE's worst years ever in my opinion.
So I had a lot to enjoy, but sometimes it does feel like if WWE sucks it brings the mood of everything else down. WWE should be the standard bearer of quality, not lagging behind indie feds. It's like 1994 again.

It's been up and down for me. I've definitely watched more wrestling this year, than in recent years. NJPW on AXS has been great. Watching the WWE Network when it works has been fun.
WWE has been ok. It's had it's moments where I've really been into it and moments where I don't really care.
