To start of the week the 4-7 Lions host the 7-4 Packers.
On paper this should look like a squash match but the Pack has lost 4 of 5 and the Lions broke the Lambaeu losing streak and are on a roll. The winner will have a huge boost towards the playoffs. So this matchup will be very important. No doubt AP and the Vikes will be watching.

This is going to sound a bit silly, but I kinda figure this to be a 'must win' for Green Bay.

Granted they got the Cowboys next week but then they are @oakland @arizona then finishing up at home against Minn. Gonna need at least 9 if not 10 to make the playoffs in the NFC this year. Loss this week puts that in doubt somewhat the way they are playing.

I thought teams were limited to one TNF game a year. The Lions get two in a row!? What kind of sorcery is this.

Fair is fair. I completely forgot about the Packers playing on TNF, as they lost to Da Bears just last week.
And I misspoke earlier. My Niners play Da Bears this week. I think they play Cleveland the next week. *shudder*

I don't know about calling for heads, but as it stands the Packers have some flaws that the front office needs to address, namely a defense that has been hot garbage for the last 3 or 4 seasons.

If it wasn't for Rogers being Quarterback Jesus the Pack would be fairly shitty. They remind me of the Colts with Manning. Even the defense was based around the QB bailing them out of trouble. If Aaron isn't playing an A game they don't stand a chance in the playoffs. That said, Rogers is really damn good. But if the guy gets a hangnail the Packers will be sub .500 In contrast look at Denver. If the QB isn't playing out of his mind they still have a great shot at winning. The Vikings can win with Teddy just playing average at best. The Cardinals can do the same. Carolina can. If the Seahawks D comes together they could... I could go on. You could probably have the same "totally dependent on one player" argument with the Patriots, but Bellichek is a god damned football warlock. He might summon some football demon to win the game if Brady broke a nail. ANYWAY, to end the rant: I agree with you. There are BIG flaws with Green Bay that are being covered up by Aaron "Freaking Football God" Rogers. And the Pack Fans better hope they get those flaws fixed while Aaron is still around to help. The holes in their system just keep getting bigger.

People have wanted Dom Capers gone for a while now, but I don't think he's the only one who needs to go. And I'm not alone in thinking McCarthy needs to take his play calling back. The guy doing it now is absolutely abysmal.

TONIGHT.
The Detroit Lions have obviously found their Eminem CD and have "Lose Yourself" blasting in their helmets as they are starting to realize that they only have one shot, one opportunity to seize everything they've ever wanted in one season by making the playoffs. Can Aaron Rodgers and the Pack stop their season from going off the rails or will they be handed another piping hot L, fresh out of the oven, just like Mama Stafford used to make when he was in grade school? And for crying out loud, when will Optimus Prime realize that his arch-nemesis has been hiding in the NFL for years!?
Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z Thursday Night Football!
