I hope they stay as heels. Babyface couples usually don't last too long in modern WWE because there is very little you can do with them story wise that isn't just dasmal in distress.

1. Can't wait til Lana loses the accent
2. How awesome would Rusev be as champ right now?

Why did Cole say: "I have a source", just to immediately name who the source is? Why not just say who your source is from the start

This better be leading to a WWE wedding, we haven't had one in a while now and it's about time we got another one

Thread title made me picture Lana and Michael Cole as a married couple.

Well that was just...arghhh, I love this so much.
Rusev has eclipsed the New Day for me in terms of sheer entertainment value. I loved how he still had that air of menace to him that Cole backtracked on the sleeping with Summer thing.
Kayfabe, how f***ing sleazy is Cole, asking who they'd had sex with?
I love the genuine laughing between the two and man I really want to see that wedding.
Give this man the title.

1. Can't wait til Lana loses the accent 2. How awesome would Rusev be as champ right now? I do get the feeling we'll see him with the title at some point, quite likely, especially since he's not even 30 yet. (He turns 30 on Christmas, actually)

I do want to give credit to Michael Cole for doing a good job of being cowed by Rusev without hamming it up too much. He does play "intimidated and backpeddling" well here in a way that isn't too cartoony.

Ah, also, not to go on and on, but I like that Rusev complimented Cole on his gym pictures, since it does contribute to him coming across as a genuine, rounded character here, instead of if he was just a nonstop dick to him the whole time.

The "Nonstop Dick" schtick should be reserved for KO and nobody else. He does that better than anyone on the roster.

His treatment of Alex Riley on Twitter should be preserved by the Library of Congress for future generations to enjoy.

I can even begin to express how much Rusev has won me over in the last 6 months. If he won the title tomorrow, I'd be thrilled.

Sorry to double post, but why the hell don't they occasionally televise these interviews? That just added more layers to both characters than the previous several months of storyline

That just added more layers to both characters than the previous several months of storyline Yeah, given they have so many hours to fill, it'd help their pacing problems, and if you didn't want to air the whole thing, just do snippets and say the rest is on the youtube channel. It'd be similar to when they'd do cut-ins in the past over entrances, or during squash matches.

You fill some space, and more importantly, you actually make people give a f*** about guys by giving them some depth.

It also helps keep some variety in there, too, instead of relying too much on in-ring promos, often which go on overly long and don't do people any favors.

Airing the sit down style interview is something I'd only use on occasion like say, leading up to Seth Rollins' return. You have Cole do one of these 5-7 interviews with him to set up a return feud, or maybe even his face turn.

That was pretty nice. Plays up to their characters well, and shows that they're really in love. Quite sweet really.

Lana mentions them having been best friends. I wonder if, even before they got together, she had a RUSEV CRUSH!
