Have someone else play Stardust one night, without it being detectable. And have Cody Rhodes confront him in the ring.

the role that Mark Henry was born to play! My 1st choice woulda been David "A-List" Otunga or possibly Tha DeMoan Kane but Mark probably has more range as an actor.

Have someone else play Stardust one night, without it being detectable. And have Cody Rhodes confront him in the ring. Not really. That whole "showing his face" thing gives it away, even with the make-up on. And really, after Sin Cara Blue and Sin Cara Black, that angle should never be done again.

Have it be Sting. They both have face paint on. No one will know the difference!

I imagined it more as just a write out for the Stardust character, not an ongoing thing. If they had someone do his entrance, and didn't do closeups on TV, then had Cody run in real quick and hit him with a Cross Rhodes, I think it'd be a pretty cool moment and jump start Cody as himself again, as a face. I"m obviously not going for great writing here, just something cool and pro wresltingish.

I think the one person who might be able to pull it off would be Goldust.

There has to be some NXT guy or some local indy shmuck who could pull it off. Cody Rhodes isn't the most distinctive looking person in the world.

What would be the point of someone doing that if it's revealed after, what, two minutes of their first entrance? Someone just randomly comes out as Stardust, Cody just happens to be around in his regular gear for no reason and...I'm not sure I get it. I think the one person who might be able to pull it off would be Goldust. Size difference and different body build would give him away immediately.

And no Cody in his gear. He runs in from the crowd in street clothes. I don't know, they could drop some hints building up to it. I had a half assed Fight Club thing in mind. Maybe he could tell Eden she met him at strange time in his life.

Put him in the big "Mr. Sinister" cape and he could nail the mannerisms though. It might not play for very long but he might fool the nosebleed seats.

Okay, but where's the money in that? Where's the thing that will draw viewers in? Why not just have Cody walk out as Cody to begin with? Same result. And why would Cody have to come through the crowd? He's on the roster and isn't named Roman. And why would he drop being Stardust just because someone dressed up like him? If anything, that would lead to Stardust being enraged at a pretender, not walking around the arena hallways in his street clothes and realizing someone is out in the ring dressed as him and just suddenly ready to be Cody again. If you're looking to have Cody shed the Stardust gimmick and return to being him, from a business/money standpoint and from a story/creative standpoint, there needs to be something more tangible than that. Have an angle where he's forced to "lose the mask" if he loses. Or something where he goes off the rails and has to abandon the gimmick for his own good. Or have a feud with his brother (or somebody) that ends with them finally talking some sense into him. I'm not trying to dog on you, I promise. I'm trying to show that something like that just doesn't work from an angle/money/audience standpoint.

I'm trying to show that something like that just doesn't work from an angle/money/audience standpoint. I'm really not thinking that deeply about it...I had a visual of Cody Rhodes beating the crap out of Stardust, and I wondered if anyone could impersonate Stardust well enough to let that be a surprise. I'm not thinking moneyratings/future repercussions, I'm thinking that's something I'd like to see as a fan in terms of and a definitive end to Starudst and a new beginning for Cody Rhodes, in a WTF way suits Stardust's whole deal. Building to that would be great, though I'm not sure how you could. I think you're taking it more literally than I am, there's not actually a dude impersonating Stardust that Cody goes after. It's sort of a Supernatural Wyattish/Undertakerish thing, where it's him destroying that side him. Or something.

You could honestly get Dolph Ziggler or Evan Bourne to do it if their hair was done right.

You could do it in a backstage segment, or not do this terrible idea at all, because it's not a secret in-universe that Cody & Stardust are the same person. Hell, his entire feud with Goldust was about it.

Have Bo Dallas cut his hair short and he could pull off the Stardust part.

If it ends with the gimmick being scraped then I'm all for it.
