Why couldn't Reigns lose by pinfall 4-on-1? If you're going to have him lose, at least give some heat to the new stable you created.

It didn't bother me all that much. First, the way they had Charles Robinson on the League's collective case during the match made it feel like he was trying to keep Roman from being slaughtered by them. Second, Reigns still spent most of the match getting his ass kicked, only winning because the heels were monumentally arrogant.

I have one in mind in which he defeated Umaga and Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch (Tag Champs back then) by pinfall in like 5 mins.
This is completely normal booking by WWE

It was before the Daniel Bryan, Kane, RKO win that was actually really well done. Sure the last fall was a DQ but he had someone in the stfu and it was treated as a fait accompli that Cena had the win if not for that |

It's something that looks worse on paper than it does onscreen, but the problem is the same as always with the WWE's booking, when the 'face of the company' is involved, they forget you need to let the heels look strong in order to make the audience care when they're defeated. Keep Reigns away from them unless they're beating him down or costing him matches, work to build sympathy rather than doing things like this to 'keep him strong' when he's long past the point where he needs that.
I know Triple H and the Authority look strong, but Triple H only does half the job of a good heel. He gets the crowd to hate him, sure, but doesn't make the faces look good if he can possibly avoid it and has done it for so long it's hard to suspend disbelief anymore. He's a heel booked and protected like he's the face of the company.
