Going to my mom's apartment and making Greek Chicken Pasta for the family. First time I cooked a big holiday meal like this that wasn't just like turkey or a ham. Should be fun! I've made the dish before and think it's delicious!

Probably pizza or Chinese, depending on my mood/what's open.

Ham and usual Christmas-food stuffs.
On New Years, I'm getting subs and a ridiculous amount of snacks and just relaxing.

Christmas eve: tamales, rice, beans, stuffed chili peppers, chile quiles, chile rellano, pan dulce, tees leche cake. Christmas day: ham, potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, yams, etc. We do our family traditional Mexican dinner on Xmas eve, and then an american version on Xmas day.

For Christmas Eve, the wife and I are doing our modified version of the Italian seven fishes: Crab dip, tuna alfredo, Goldfish crackers, actual fish (Swai), chicken strips (because if tuna is the"chicken of the sea," then chicken obviously must be the tuna of the land), Ben and Jerry's Phish Food and a can of fish cat food for the cats. Christmas will be homemade ravolis (ricotta, sausage and mushroom and bison) and sauce, meatballs and ham. New Year's Eve will be Japanese, as per tradition. Finally, New Year's is sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and a pork roast.

Kinda depends on if we have money to eat anything interesting... otherwise it'll just be whatever's in the freezer.

Hopefully my parents order tamales. But if not, yesterday my boyfriend found an ad for a new buffet that's open Christmas day, he's eager to check that out. I have no idea what his parents might serve if they invite us over.

Christmas eve (my family) - ham (boiled with basil leaves, then served cold), kielbasa (fresh and smoked), pierogi, meatballs, beets, bread, salad
Christmas (wife's family) - prime rib, turkey, sweet potato souffle, chutney, mashed potatoes, usually one or two more sides that vary
crazy amounts of deserts at both
