Damn... I said all that and missed Chyna!! Well Chyna was with the WWF for 4 years, her wrestling career was basically 4 years. I think Chyna was name value more than anything and was hugely unique. But it was a sad decline so maybe its best I missed her there.

Prosperous means making money, right? Chyna probably made more money than all of them. She might have blew it, but she cashed the checks.

I'm going with Madusa, successful in major promotions then went on to be a success in another pseudo-sport, while she's not Brock Lesnar, she had a great career at a time the ghastly Moolah was still casting her long shadow over North American Woman's wrestling.

AJ got very lucky that WWE tried to shift Bryan's momentum to her when he was insanely over and in the process made her the top diva. She then made her money and got the hell out.

I can't believe Trish is winning this, and so easily. I adore her, I was a huge fan of hers right from the beginning but there has never and will never be as big a female star as Lita. She was one of the marquee stars during WWF's most successful era. She had a unique, passionate connection with fans that they've never been able to replicate, not even with Trish. She was one of the biggest merchandise sellers in the early 2000s. She main evented Raw. The Rock refereed her first title win. She was the only woman to be involved in TLC, and was kept to final run-in at Mania 17 because they knew she'd outpop everybody there. She was in the top 3 most over people in the company, both as a face then as a heel. She made stars by association. She was so important to WWE that they used her to get heat for Stone Cold. She made money for them in ticket and merchandise sales. Many female wrestlers wouldn't have been given a chance without her success and popularity.
There has never been a bigger female star. Her legacy is unparalleled by any other female and, since WWE will likely never be as big again, it probably never will be. It makes me angry how WWE plays down Lita's accomplishments.

Of the options, I voted for Madusa. She worked for all the big companies, had great matches, and found a pretty sweet gig driving monster trucks after leaving wrestling. Not too shabby. This right here. Madusa also retired healthy, followed her own path, was the only woman to best Vince McMahon, and still later become inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Oh come on.. No one talks about Trish anymore outside of on wrestling message boards. Not like she's the Rock. ROLFMAO!!! Prosperous HAS to go to Moolah.. She was the longest reigning, longest drawing Diva of all time.. Trish was only relevant for what? 5 years? Moolah was relevant for 5 DECADES. Moolah pimped out, drugged and abused her "trainees" for decades. That is Moolah legacy to a lot of people and why her name will always be mud. Then perhaps the poll should be renamed to 'Who is the most successful AND morally upstanding wrestler?' Moolah was scum, but was very successful scum.

Trish? Pffft.
AJ, easily. She came in, became the most over Diva since Mickie James and the most over Diva not named Wendi Richter, Chyna, or Lita in WWE history.
Met her future husband and left the business before she became just another diva on the roster.

AJ made out like a bandit. Had a good run, got to leave pretty healthy, and gets to go live with her rich husband and 39 children.
That said, I voted for Trish. Also settled down after years of being the focus, and has had a few return spots when she felt so inclined. Has her yoga, her family, and her health it'd seem.
Lita did have Pee Wee Herman wish her a happy birthday, and also got to come back for a reunion show and erase her previous, disrespectful as hell send off. That's nice at least.

To me Lita is special, because she had to work harder to get herself over. Trish was hired as a valet first and didn't start wrestling competitively until the later half of 2001, Whereas Lita has been working as a wrestler since Day 1 back in ECW. I feel like Trish was limited to the women's division too much even though she managed a few guys, it wasn't as memorable as Lita with the Hardyz or with Edge. Also, to me Lita has more memorable moments than Trish did (TLC2 at WM17, managing the Hardyz & Edge)

Her success was built in pushing everyone she could down below her so it looks like her level was higher than it was, it's like the length of her title reign which requires you to forget she lost it numerous times and the periods the belt was basically inactive. When there was real money to be made from women's wrestling in the Rock and Wrestling era, she poisoned the well for people who stood against her and even for her own trainees like Mad Maxine. I have little doubt that Trish, Chyna, Sable, Lita, Madusa and many others made considerably more money from wrestling than she did despite being flashes in the pan in comparison to her, while she made a comfortable living, I doubt she ever really shifted merchandise or put bums in seats herself and she made damn well sure her trainees couldn't get too big, just ask Wendi, Mad Maxine and others.

Anyone denying it's Moolah is being willfully ignorant. Being on top of you profession for fifty years is the definition of prosperous. The fact she was a sleaze is irrelevant.

Depends on what you're asking.
Moolah played a part in controlling women's wrestling in New York in the 1970s and 1980s, allegedly taking part of the pay of all the women in her troupe whom she brought to New York. Judy Martin and Leilani Kai allege that Moolah did take money from the women as she essentially was in charge of distributing the pay to the women. Supposedly all of the money allocated to the women was given to Moolah and she was in charge of distributing it how she saw fit. Due to her role, she may have had the most prosperous career.
As a performer, Trish may have made the most money.
Madusa arguably had the most distinguished body of work because of her work in All Japan Women's during its peak years. She worked with some of the most renowned women's wrestlers in history. She got to work to various degrees with women like Akira Hokuto, Lioness Asuka, Manami Toyota, Aja Kong, and Bull Nakano.

The Fabulous Moolah is one of those to me like a Bruno Sammartino, I can only really believe what im told about her legacy as I wasnt there to see it, but she was the top woman in the game for hundreds of years.. The she held the title for 50 years or whatever is pure kayfabe. For one, it was not active in the WWF during that time. For another, she lost it a bunch of times in the interim.

Here's the thing. Wrestling isn't a sport. When you're talking about entertainment, rather than sport, there's more than one way to judge prosperity, and given that wrestlers don't actually win titles rather than being booked to win them, there's more to it than just that. Length of title reign can be related to both the context (longer title reigns were much more common at that time) and the WWE's efforts to clean out the history (inactivity + losses got erased from history). You also get to look at the quality of their time that they were on top, wa it better to be on top longer during a time of relative slump, or when WWE didn't take your division got less attention or on top shorter when it got more?
Moolah being a scumbag outside of the ring may not have made her career less prosperous, but there's a lot more to look at than just length of reign.
